Right, AJ, Nak, Finn, Joe, Sami & Seth, these guys need to be headlining Wrestlemania next year. Let's see how this plays out. And NO HHH storylines.

Roode, DIY, Revival, Sanity, Aries, Neville, Owens, Angle in high profile match ups, man they have such a talent pool for the year to come.

5 hours sleep :dread: Definitely not staying up for Raw tonight. I think it'll be ace though. Hardys return, and surely Balor will return too? I have a feeling they might turn Sasha tonight too. :x

Some things really don't make sense to me though. Trips now has more losses than anyone else at 'Mania. It's great that he's putting new talent over, but an injured talent in an 'unsanctioned' match where we didn't see his new protégé Joe either, despite Joe once supposedly being the roadblock between Rollins and Trips? Makes zero sense. Not at all a satisfying finish. I wonder if they wanted to wrap it up to start Balor / HHH for next year's Mania.

SmackDown crashed and burnt. If it wasn't for Styles and Shane, there wasn't a single satisfying SmackDown match... it was really smartly booked too. Subverting expectations, starting out with pure technical wrestling. Yeah, Styles clearly carried him for much of it, but it was from start to finish more consistent than anything else from SD. What on earth happened to SD? I used to look forward to the SD PPVs and matches more than any other.

So many matches felt half-baked. Even Owens vs Jericho wasn't as enjoyable as I expected, despite being one of the better matches on the card. I wonder if they changed everybody's match times at the last minute and threw so many matches off. I get the impression a few years down the line when everybody is shooting on Mania 33, it'll be one of the more interesting when it comes to what went on behind the scenes.

I'm pretty sure they've already decided on Reigns/Lesnar again for next years main event :dread:
The one HHH storyline I might be interested in is one between him and Shane for control of the company or something. Saying that the storyline would probably go on all year and I'd be sick of the 2 of them by then.

After watching wrestlemania 33 I've gone back and am watching wrestlemania 17. God damn it really is the best one. The crowd pop for Linda McMahon standing up was insane

I think it's just "cool" to hate Roman Reigns now. There were a few great spots and it took the crowd a few seconds to realise it's RR and they should be booing him; with chants of "you still suck" as in yeah you've just done something good but so what. Even when he won they didn't boo for a few seconds.

Maybe it comes across differently on tv but that whole show was brilliant.

Wrestling fans don't like being told who to like, even its someone they initially did like. Everyone saw the Shield and knew Roman could be the new top guy, but when WWE wanted to pull the trigger on him they pushed him too hard too quickly and it backfired. His push has been better over the last year, thanks to WWE taking a step back after his Wellness violation.

At this point though I think fans are just booing him out of habit. He's good in the ring (could stand to sell more consistently however) and his win-loss record is far more balanced than Cena's during the height of his push. I also don't think WWE is too fussed about him not being cheered either. The guy gets a strong reaction and people feel passionately about whether he wins or loses - he's over. Anyone who legit hates the guy but keeps watching WWE is a mark.

Yup they 'hate' him bit still give him the loudest reaction in the company, who really wins here? If they didn't like him theyd give no reaction i.e the crusierweight guys. Flat as strawberry float.

Suprised they had Roman go over, makes sense since giving it everything. Takers send off was perfect, not huge fan but emotional.

Really good mania overall.

Taker is very old school, there's no way he was going to go out with a win. They probably didn't advertise it as his last match for that reason

If WWE wasn't fussed about him not being cheered then they wouldn't be actively muting the crowd mic to hide the booing, or editing fan reactions to make it look like people are cheering him.

Reigns doesn't deserve all the backlash from their match last night but he does carry some of the blame. He simply isn't at the level where he needs to be, he hasn't gone to the knowledge to carry a match like that. The fact that was his his third wrestlemania headlining match is mind boggling.

The reason people weren't booing him is because that match was simply not good enough.

Wow ok where to start. I only watched the first 1 hour (plus the preshow) last night as I promised my lad I would watch with him today.

I enjoyed the Shane/AJ match, it seemed to get a lot of criticism on here live but elsewhere it seems to have been well received.

Jericho and Owens was good but not brilliant. The build was so good for months but I feel as soon as they took the title off Owens and took them off the main event slot on raw that their rivalry lost its edge. I blame WWE for that.

Raw tag titles. Interesting to see the Hardys back although I was never their greatest fan, always preferred edge and Christian and the Dudleys. I hope they can do the broken gimmick but they didn't appear to be wrestling that way so I assume they are back in their traditional WWE hardy gimmick. I was surprised they won though, enzo and cas must be thinking what have they got to do to win the titles.

Happy to see bayley retain the title. I do wish though that she had won the title there rather than before it.

Orion v wyatt was boring. WWE are going to have to keep Orton off the main event scene otherwise he's going to end up overtaking cena and flair for number of title runs. I can see Orton still performing in ten years time.

Naomi winning was a given, I Hope this isn't the end of bliss at the top of the SD division though.

Lesnar v Goldberg was actually done really well. Can't fault them on how they did that really.

Taker v reigns was good. My expectations were very well as taker has been unable to perform for a number of years now. I had lost interest in his last few matches. I knew it was looking like his last so I paid it my full attention. Reigns did well and pulled off some good moves and spots.

Lastly what was the point of the new day hosting? There's just no need in a wrestlemania host as they don't seem to do anything.

For what it is worth the Hardy's were partly using their Broken gimmick after the match in interviews and Cole seemed to use a fair few words on commentary that sound like soft references to Broken Matt and Brother Nero.

Just finishing catching up on an entire year of Broken Matt Hardy and Brother Nero. It's strawberry floating money.
