Stop making Mania 7 hours long, FFS.

A big load of nothing, no idea who books the main show but some of those endings... the Batista match was hilarious for all the right reasons. Kofi/Bryan was the only match that delivered. Shame the crowd were dead for the women’s but it’s to be expected and strawberry float that finish.

Cole’s voice really is shot to pieces tonight and RAW has only just started. Fancy not getting a stand-in.

Reminds me when they had Jerry Lawler call St. Valentines Day Massacre and he could barely talk.

Well this is completely out of the blue, champion vs. champion winner take all, with no build.

Surely ends in a no contest, unless they’re going back to the one belt again for the men and women. Though they have already started that idea with the women’s tag titles.

Guess it may make sense by night’s end, but as a storyline narrative it is kinda odd how Kofi can spend over a decade in WWE and never have the opportunity to capture the World title, and now when he does finally win less than 24 hours later Mr Greedy suddenly wants it all.

I knew Angle hadn’t left. :slol:

So many opportunities for fuckery in this main event and it was a crapper run-in than I could have ever imagined. A well deserved “bullshit” chant there.

‘Why no I don’t want to restart this match for the opportunity to capture 2 world titles, I now want to partake in this shitty tag match, you game bro?’

Crowd is PISSED. Now replacing “New. Day. Rocks.” with “A.E.W”

Thanks Tomvek that was a cool predictor you created; the Seasons of Grappl would have been great using that!

You're welcome :)

I've used that type of sheet before for work contests so thought it might be fun to do one for Mania. I'd be happy enough to bring it back for the big four if people wanted to take part. Glad you enjoyed and congrats to our champ, Kanbei :toot:

All Elite Wrestling is in talks with Turner on a broadcast deal that would see pro wrestling return to their airwaves for the first time in 18 years.

However, there is no signed deal as of now, reports our Dave Meltzer.

This verifies a Thursday report in The Wrap that Tony Khan's new wrestling project is talking with the former home of WCW. However, Meltzer says the idea in the piece of going with a season vs. a year-round weekly product is not accurate.

He also could not confirm TNT would be the destination for AEW, but that it is one of the suitors in play. AEW has not commented at this point.

Last week, new AEW hire Jim Ross said a two-hour show will debut this October on a major cable network which was verified by Meltzer Sunday. Meltzer added that two major US broadcast outlets that offer streaming services are interested in AEW.

I think Vince just had a heart attack.

I guess it depends on the schedule. WWE definitely need competition though. The product is so stale as they have no reason to innovate.

However AEW have a tough job if they get a decent TV deal. I'm not sure the market is there for a big time successful show based purely on wrestling, but getting the "entertainment" aspect of sufficient quality and balance will be a tricky job.

Good move for TNT though. They basically get a chance at starting afresh with a product that's probably already at the same prominence of Crockett despite only really having one show (All In, kind of) under the belt.

So Sasha Banks has apparently walked out, wonder if that's why Bailey was punished on Raw?

They’re going to have people showing up on All Elite Wrestling left, right and centre. Apparently it’s the number one topic of discussion backstage at NXT.

WWE is going to be in for a rough year, I think. If they can’t even pop a rating coming off Mania (especially SmackDown, but then they stupidly gave away Kofi on RAW) then they’re definitely going under 2 million viewers.

Hope this isn't off topic, but is there anywhere free where I can watch old WWF/E pay per views?

I want to relive my childhood and watch a few years of PPV's from Wrestlemania VI to.... well, as close to XVIII as possible i guess.
I have looked on Youtube, and there is a resource, but its all spoken over by some people who are not quite as hilarious as they think they are.
I am not a follower of modern wrestling, so have no access to WWE channel etc.
Any pointers on this would be massively appreciated.
