Clip of Sammy Guevara saying he wanted to rape Sasha Banks when he had a WWE tryout. Can't link tweet on phone but it seems legit. They've gotta do something substantial to him.

What a bizarre thing to just blurt out, let alone on a podcast or radio.

With management being more outspoken on social media and on social issues, this is where AEW is now going to find themselves in difficulty compared to WWE. AEW has set a bar for itself and you're going to look hypocritical if you now don't do anything. It's one thing to say you've banned Hulk Hogan for being a racist because it's easy, or to remove a nobody on the undercard because they've made a homophobic remark. It becomes more difficult when a major star you currently employ has said it, or when it becomes awkward for you. It'll be interesting to see how AEW handles attempting to be consistent while answering to its online fanbase compared to WWE, who is fantastically inconsistent but 9 times out of 10 doesn't answer to anybody. And yet again it comes back around to Mike Tyson. You have just hired a convicted rapist to appear on your show in 2020 and yet you're going to suspend or fire a person for saying they want to rape somebody in 2016? Make a rod for your own back springs to mind.

But hey, it's better to have some standards than none, of course.

I'm surprised it's taken this long for wrestling to find itself under the metoo telescope. It's been a long time coming, I'm glad to see it finally arrive and I bet there are a lot of wrestlers - active and retired - going to sleep shitting themselves at what they may find online when they wake up.

Some of the stuff that's coming out is just shocking. We've all heard stories over the years about certain stars and people in management positions but if these accusations are true then there is no hope for this human trash.

Well potentially the worst case I've heard of is a big name British promoter who has been around a very long time and has no doubt worked with dozens of performers over the decades of whom surely some must have been aware of his behaviour.

'The Intercontinental Championship debuted in 1979 but alas nobody in WWE can now remember who won it.'

Listening to Jim Cornette's special episode of his podcast all about the allegations about him. Can't say I'm buying his story to be honest. I've no doubt a lot of people have an axe to grind, but it sounds like he basically admits he let's people strawberry float his wife whilst he watches. Given that part of the story is true, and the DMs from his wife have also been confirmed as legit (which he originally tried to say were faked), he doesn't seem to have a very compelling defence.

Really can't imagine anyone would want to get down and dirty with his wife whilst Cornette apparently does play by play though, that's the one thing that doesn't make sense. Push or no push, I can't see anyone agreeing to that deal.

It’s the type of story that could easily go either way. If that aspect is true, the other stuff could easily be true. It’s also the type of embarrassing story that if you knew about and wanted to then embellish to hurt Cornette because you hate his guts, you easily could do.

Cornette’s quirky sex life has been a running joke for a number of years though. I remember on an episode of RAW IS WAR DX were sat there eating bananas whilst he was on commentary because there was some incident involving Cornette sticking a banana up his arse.

In a very public exchange with Santino Marella, Santino called him a rapist and said he’d seen the tapes. Now either that was heat of the moment bullshit (which most thought it was at the time) or now with the benefit of hindsight there was much more to it.

I see AEW have suspended Sammy. They have made a rod for their own backs here. It seems totally inconsistent to suspend a guy for making a very bad rape joke, whilst at the same time employing a convicted rapist in Tyson.

I also saw someone accuse another guy on the AEW roster for some more dodgy physical behaviour. They mentioned an incident at Summerslam in 2013. Not sure who that was aimed at, but I think the only people on the card at the time that matched the circumstances (married guy) were Luke Harper and a recently married Cody Rhodes.

Well yeah there’s him but I meant someone who has been a figure in the industry for way longer.

'This should really be for the police to handle' (and anything similar) is a lovely little sentiment that's predicated on the current systems we have being fit for purpose in the first place.

So, thoughts on the swamp fight? I've liked a lot of these cinematic matches they have done, but honestly this was one of the worst things I have ever seen WWE do. The levels of cringe were off the charts. No doubt Bray plays that character completely invested in it, but I think its long past time to admit that it just doesn't work, at all.

I’ve only been watching WWE sporadically over the last 2 months and from a programming perspective the company has never been in worse shape. Even without the sterile environment they find themselves in (which AEW does a far better job of compensating for), almost everything about these shows absolutely sucks. On the SmackDown that I made the mistake of watching the other week they spent about 15 minutes on a karaoke contest.

On the ratings front, WWE RAW is seemingly only a few weeks away from matching the debut edition of AEW Dynamite.

Listening to Dave Meltzer and wow the UK ratings are just absolutely horrendous. Not just live viewing figures, but the total over the entire week. They would barely fill the Manchester Arena, they are that low. They've also lost their Italian TV slot to AEW.

How long is this sustainable. They seem to be in freefall.

17k for Raw and 10k for NXT last week.

I guess people are starting to smarten up to how much of a shithaus company they are.

Anyone seen Zack Rider recently? ;)

Not quite Jinder Mahal but he looks like he has been on the juice!
