I enjoyed it, but I just couldn't get invested in Kofi having a chance, despite what happened on SD. This close to 'Mania who in their right mind would give Kofi the title, especially when Bryan's current gimmick is so amazing. The crowd were clearly caught up in it though.

I miss when they were pushing Joe. :( From that Lesnar feud to just nothing...

...everyone?

Kofi has been consistently brilliant over the last 11 years and if ever there was a moment this would be it. I think they should go all in with Bryan v Kingston at Mania. God forbid there is an incredible match at Mania. I don't like the idea of Kofi's moment being sullied by the help belt though. :x

There's a spectacular distinction between being a great wrestler, and putting on an 'incredible' match to being a draw to main event their biggest event as Champion on their grandest stage, etc. That's not a slight on him, nor his abilities. How many 'incredible' Lesnar matches can you remember in the last year? Yet he still draws them in and creates headlines from name recognition alone.

I still remember when they gave Kofi a big push a number of years ago, that resulted in him wrecking Randy Orton's Nascar and putting him through a table at MSG.

And then his push ground to a halt when he botched a match finish on Raw and Orton got mad at him and moaned at Vince or whoever.

Oh, they’ve already strawberry floated up the NXT call-ups.

Good stuff.

Heavy Machinery was never going to make it - they reminded me of the type of act you'd get on the undercard of a WCW show, who would then get defeated in about 5 minutes by Luger and Sting. Now they're just some joke act already, drinking revolting smoothies backstage.

Sullivan is apparently battling anxiety issues, the Scottish woman has become like a budget Daffney, and I can't even remember now who else was in their video package.

Meanwhile, the SmackDown Women's Champion Asuka hasn't been seen since the Royal Rumble.

Just getting round to watching last night’s RAW now...Christ, this crowd is unbelievably dead. Honestly the worst crowd to debut anyone in front of, even by the current programme’s flat standards.

Giving Dean Ambrose an amnesia gimmick? :slol:

It’s like NXT storylines officially now exist in an alternate universe to Raw and SD now.

God what a boring RAW coming off a PPV.

Can the “you deserve it” and “this is awesome” chants please be consigned to the dustbin of history, especially more so when they’re halfheartedly done by the crowd.

WrestleMania weekend just got more exciting. RoH & NJPW's G1 Supercard is streaming free on RoH & NJPW's respective streaming services, on the Saturday, in between TakeOver (Friday now) and 'Mania. I think this is the show at MSG that WWE tried to put a stop to(?).

WWE have announced Roman Riegns will be on Raw this week to give an update on his leukemia battle. They’re strawberry floating idiots announcing this gooseberry fool in advance. They’re probably missing out on Reigns’ biggest pop of his solo career by not keeping this a surprise. It’s seems every week this company gets more and more incompetent.

WWE uploaded a video to their youtube of some bro banana split basically slagging off the Raw audience last week :dread:

WWE did something similar a few years ago in Liverpool - Vince McMahon came out and told them to liven up.

Lafayette will definitely go down as one of the deadest crowds of all time (it may as well have been an empty arena) but slagging off your audience doesn't exactly look good, does it? For a show featuring a load of NXT call-ups, and also coming off a PPV, it was a very boring RAW, and I only sat through the abridged version on YouTube. Maybe this was also more a case of WWE completely misjudging its own audience - not every fan is willing to keep abreast of RAW, SD, NXT, NXT UK, Main Event, 205 Live, and sometimes 2 PPVs all in a week, and then go crazy for wrestlers they may never have seen, and invest in matches that feature little to no soap opera element. It's not like current NXT storylines played any role in last week's RAW or SmackDown anyway.

Seeing the upper decks tarped off has become a familiar sight week in and week out now, it's worse than ever, but I guess WWE think they can get away with telling a small city or town they suck because they're still pulling in mega money from TV and international deals, and they're running more of these big stadium shows every year.

Whilst the bro was annoying, I can't knock the sentiment of the video. The crowd was terrible.

And to think they might never do Raw in Glasgow again because we were too good. :toot: :toot: :toot:

They'd be better off running smaller venues for some of these RAW and SmackDown's like they did in the 90s. They won't do it obviously because they/Vince has this thing now about small towns in America making the show look too minor league (and on the rare occasions they do go there for TV they do a Saudi Arabia and refuse to mention where the hell they are).

They love to dim the lights on the crowd now as well, like they may as well not even be there. You just see this red/blue/black void.
