So looking at the KOTR brackets, I think it's going to end with a Mcintyre vs KO final, and Mcintyre will win. It makes no sense, apart from it being the only way to keep Shane vs Owens going a bit longer.

Mcintyre seemed much improved when he came back, but it feels like he has really stagnated. WWE seems to have a lot of titles and plenty of air time, but absolutely no ability to find a slot for the talent.

It took many years but I am finally admitting to myself that I'm not a wrestling fan: I'm a sports entertainment fan. The new focus on workrate and matches in recent years is admirable but with it being predetermined there's no drama for me. Give me story and characters, or at least a lot of fun. Broken Matt Hardy pulled me back for a while, they're trying something with The Fiend but it doesn't make sense in the setting of "pro sports" that they're going for. I'm not saying the Attitude Era sound happen again (and it never ever will) but I didn't watch Austin Vs McMahon, DX Vs Corporation etc for the matches. I watched them because Austin pretended to shoot Vince, because Taker tried to stab Austin with a dagger on a funeral slab.

The Elite coming out as Akuma/Ryu/Ken was fun but I hope the weekly show has full-on stories. I liked Lucha Underground for a while but their method of storytelling felt like they were skipping every other page.

The problem is WWE aren't very good at telling stories. Especially in the ring. Even though Fight for the Fallen wasn't the best event, you have to look at stuff like Young Bucks vs Rhodes brothers. Very limited story telling before the match, but less was more, and the story was then told almost completely in the ring. WWE are incapable of telling a story in the ring in my opinion with their production line style of wrestling matches.

I see ITV has already started heavily promoting AEW All Out, with commercials running down the card accross their TV stations yesterday, in particular during their darts coverage on ITV4 (5 commercials within 2 hours).

And for the first time it'll be available to purchase on the PlayStation Store for PS4. No replays or delayed coverage (unlike on FiteTV) but you can theoretically watch it cheaper if you purchase(d) PSN Store cards. I have no idea of the user interface though as I've never purchased a PPV through PS.

There's no replays at all? Not even the next day? I wouldn't be paying for that.

Crazy that FiteTV doesn't have an app on console but at least they have Chromecast support.

Nope, nothing. Sky won't allow you to record on your first order, and Virgin Media customers aren't allowed to record it at all, though both services offer scheduled replays. There was also TV Player availability last time (app on Xbox One) but I've not seen it advertised for All Out.

If you buy a lot of PSN cards on places like CD Keys for less than the credit is worth then you could theoretically watch the show much cheaper but I've had too many issues with the WWE Network and to a lesser extent the Fite app recently to take the risk of no replays. No idea where PPV events are accessible from on the PS4, or what their refund policy is like. If it was like £5 for one of their lesser shows then I'd probably try it out.

TV Player was a bit of a mess with replays last time around, wasn't available till around 3pm.

I've liked FITE for previous events, on demand replays for over a month. I watch through Android TV app and my mate watches through PS4 browser.

Tony Schiavone has signed with AEW, presumably for commentary. I wonder if they'll have him doing one show and JR the other, team them up together again, or if they're going to go back to changing up the announce teams for each hour on TNT.

Does JR want to be on the road every week?

I can't believe WWE apparently made Tony Schiavone an offer. They've had 18 YEARS! But noooo, the moment they hear AEW wants him then they're suddenly interested in having him on commentary. Unbelievable.

WWE moving NXT to USA Network, making it Live every week, and increasing it to 2 hours from 18th September. On-demand will remain on WWE Network from Thursday night.

The Wednesday Night Wars have begun.

What the strawberry float was with the end of Smackdown?!

They cut out the bit at the end where Bryan was on the verge of corpsing (as usual)

The sounds of various people also laughing in the crowd, and one bloke shouting "This is stupid!" as SmackDown goes off the air...

Arguably the biggest draw on the card gone :( I say they just throw some of that billionaire cash at Punk for a one-time match.
