DDT Ultimate Party was show of the year btw

The two chairs winning the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title

Also

How the hell do they get away with using the Undertaker's Ministry of Darkness music?

They seemingly don't give a strawberry float. Super Sasadango Machine also uses the same song as Togi Makabe which New Japan always dub over because they're not allowed to use it

I wonder if they’ll make a blue version of the universal title now that it’s on Smackdown? Gotta make those replica title bucks!!

Probably the nicest most inoffensive wrestling related channel on YouTube.

Awful end of match botch in the opening bout on AEW this week with Pac, but Cody’s promo was superb, as was Jericho’s interaction later in the night with the crowd during the commercial break.

Promo and video package city on this pre show. I think they’ll be going to the building at half past though...I hope.

He debuted a couple of weeks ago on one of the Dark episodes. I thought it was just a one off but I guess not. Seems silly that you wouldn't have him out there for the main show with Schiavone's absence.

Bizarrely long opening match. Dragging a bit.

Surely this won't only be 3 hours...

I think the theme of this PPV is that every match has taken a while to get going.

This Lights Out main event not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, that’s for sure. I’m not a CZW fan, myself. And going by the complete lack of crowd heat for the majority of the match, neither were the crowd. I always thought it took ECW and then went too far with it. Any similarities with WCW programming though has basically ended here. :slol:

Solid PPV overall but sorry, JR needs to go. At most, cart him out for matches he seems actually interested in like Cody's and Omega's because at least he comes alive a little for those, but for everything else he just rambles aimlessly and sounds bewildered by everything going on. He actively detracts from my enjoyment in most cases, it's almost as bad as that Marvez guy they had for their first couple of shows. Crowd didn't seem too hot either in comparison to Dynamite episodes.

I'm already a fan of Santana and Ortiz (I had never even heard of LAX before their AEW debut), something seemed off about the start of their match with the Bucks but by the end, I was loving it and them.

Had no idea the foam on the ring was that thick. Definitely not their best PPV. The booking was the problem for me. All a bit obvious. The people that needed to win, won. No one seems to be going on streak now. Seems 50/50 except for the champions.

Been a long time since I found a match uncomfortable to watch like last night’s main event. I can’t remember WWE doing anything like it, but they’ve ultimately ended up with stuff that was actually much worse (Undertaker vs Vince McMahon at Survivor Series, JBL vs. Eddie Guerrero at Judgment Day) due to the amount of gore, which Moxley and Omega thankfully didn’t have (apart from that barbed wire broom cutting open the back of Moxley’s head or neck, but that quickly subsided).

Watching someone flying off a cage, getting bashed in the head with a chair or even set on fire is far more dangerous but as a viewer very watchable, whereas you start involving things like ice picks, glass and real barbed wire & lots of people are going to find that a big turn off (as Renee Young appeared to on Twitter!).

It has done its job of getting people talking about AEW though, because there’s a whole audience that will have never seen anything close to this. Probably a TNA Abyss match or Cactus Jack vs Randy Orton from 15 years ago. Also been an extremely long time a match that was billed as being violent or stunt filled has delivered on its promise. AEW has set the tone of a Lights Out match just like the WWF did originally with Hell in a Cell and I Quit. Now they mean absolutely nothing.

Weirdest place for wrestling link may be Ant and Dec's DNA Journey.

Dec found out his cousin is ex TNA owner Dixie Carter.
