Nope, didn’t even use Harry Smith on TV.

Nobody needs to hire Nia Jax as a wrestler. As a bodyguard type figure, sure.

As a character Scarlett couldn’t have been any better and they still somehow messed it up.

Spent all that time building up Kross and Scarlett on NXT as an unstoppable force, only to needlessly split them up and debut Kross on RAW, jobbed him out to Jeff Hardy (just before his big PPV match with Joe), and then just to go one step further stuck a goofy mask on him.

As an aside, I bet 2K Games can’t wait to offload this license…think of all the characters they’ve had to work on throughout the months that have had to be binned off.

Firing Frankie Monet while John Morrison’s over here on tour is a bit shitty. Why the strawberry float would anyone want to sign for WWE? It can kill your career.

I’m interested to see where the WWE ends up. Roll the clock back and I think everyone expected it to go to Stephanie and Triple H, but I’m now more inclined to believe Vince is eventually going to sell it off. A big conglomerate attempting to run a wrestling company again would be good fun. Tony Schiavone was leaning more towards Disney, though Comcast would have to be an obvious contender too.

Id hire Harry Smith if I was AEW as he owns the rights to the name British Bulldog and has both the Smith blood in him and the Hart blood and they are doing all the Owen related stuff, Bulldog was always popular especially in European tours and stuff push him right and you could really make something of him.

Lots of rumours it was vaccine related on some of the releases. I.e kross wouldn’t be able to work internationally as he allegedly refused the vaccine.

Again, just rumours.

Well you can definitely see how that would make WWE's decision making process a lot easier, especially on those they're already not particularly high on. With AEW you could currently get away with it (in 2022 they'll probably do the UK and maybe Canada), whereas WWE is always doing international tours. You're just giving Vince McMahon and Nick Khan another excuse to cut you.

Some names there that if they went would really help restablish Impact back to the more casual side of fans. Since i think Aew have already managed to establish their own stars as must see attractions wouldn't hurt to have Kross or Lee as your big talisman star.

Ridiculous seeing how much talent has been wasted by WWE. Keith Lee was a superstar in NXT, I remember the pop at the Rumble when he entered against Lesnar was huge.

The fact he was given this 'bearcat' gimmick and then fired all in the space of a couple of months is awful. As much as I don't want to see AEW sign even more people as their roster is bloated already, someone like Lee could be huge there. Mia Yim as well would be a fantastic addition to the Women's roster too.

He's one of the most boring wrestlers in the world

Im not a fan of his work but plenty of worse wrestlers have made good money for a company with the right spin , for example get him for the name stick him with a charasmatic partner call then the bulldogs lean on the heritage and bury his boring with the gimic

From the Wrestling Observer newsletter:

Some of the talent released was due to them refusing to get vaccinated and not being big enough stars to get away with that. While the number going around is that five of the 18 (releases) were not vaccinated, one talent in the company said it was a larger number than that. On the main roster, talent can’t tour foreign countries without being vaccinated. However, talent that may have been cut due to not being vaccinated were told they were let go due to budgetary cuts.

It really sucks about Nia Jax being fired while on leave for mental health reasons , I personally was fired from my longest ever job while I was off with mental health reasons so I really feel for her, its just shoddy business.

Watched some of AEW Dynamite and I really really liked CM Punks Speech about looking after yourself and your own mental health, I thought it was really heart felt.

I found myself agreeing with Jim Cornette a lot this week about AEW. They have definitely turned around Miro from his utterly shite debut. Also agreed with what he said about Ounk/Kingston on Thunder (sorry, Rampage). They need to replay that segment on Dynamite since Thunder/Rampage had a pretty poor rating.

Not sure how l see the future of Rampage. It seems to be dropping off in viewers and even the promise of a Punk appearance isn't saving it. Maybe it will help when Dynamite goes to TBS.

Incredibly that’s former WCW commentator Mark Madden. HATED him back in 2000. I just found him unbearable.

You know the timing of Nia release may have been wrong but Christ she should have been let go years ago. The amount of danger & injuries that came from her are unreal.

I think listening to Cornettes podcasts is just about my favourite part of wrestling nowdays , I find myself agreeing with his take on things quiet often.

It actually looks like it might be good? Shame it will be let down by the roster, I wonder if they are going to lean heavily on legends this year to try and pad the roster out?

Even Kevin Owens who features in that trailer could be done with WWE by next month.

Edge looks great, I thought. Drew McIntyre not so much.
