Nope, wasn’t mentioned at all. I couldn’t believe she came out looking so happy. Reminded me of John Cena whenever he lost and it meant nothing.
There was a lot of recapping on SD as well: a Kofi Kingston video package, a Black History Month video, Becky Lynch getting arrested, a couple of Ronda Rousey promos, including from RAW the prior night, and also Roman Reigns from RAW.
The brand split seems to have taken a back seat, which is biazare when you consider they’re doing a post Mania shake-up again. The Women’s tag titles, NXT superstars, and the McMahons are all on both shows.
RAW has no impact on the ratings either, with SD actually doing less than last week, and down 20% from 2018.
It feels weird they're doing the bait and switch with both the Raw Women's Championship match at 'Mania and the WWE Championship at FastLane, potentially 'Mania too. I seem to be in the minority, I think Owens and Bryan worked so well with Bryan's recent anti-consumerism promos, and Owen's Cinema promo (where he seemingly turned face and his son turned heel robbing his change ).
Undoubtedly SD and Raw have been better recently, less insufferable, but it feels like they've gone from trying to shove people we didn't want in our faces to going out of their way to insert people who are getting great reactions into title opportunities but without any real narrative strand. It feels like they're genuinely in panic mode.
I can't tell what's real anymore. But it's AMAZING.
Praying they come to their senses and keep Charlotte out of this. A triple threat seems likely, especially given Rousey's promo this week specifically mentioned something along those lines, but it's just going to dilute this awesome chemistry.
Reminded me of a Russo script, especially when Hunter himself was then getting confused and calling him Richard Flair. Because he’s RIC strawberry floating FLAIR.
Most of my favs are in the same bracket for the New Japan Cup. The show on the 10th is going to be insane. I worry I won't have enough time to keep up though...
Just catching up on the New Japan Cup, Ishii vs. Nagata was a war. I've never seen anything of Nagata in his prime, but strawberry float me, if the way he can go at 50 is any indication then I need to check out some of his matches past

His final G1 run was amazing.
Japanese wrestling careers definitely have a longer tail than western ones. Nagata and Suzuki are only 3 years younger than The Undertaker. Justin Thunder Liger is a year older and just had an amazing Jr title match.

Doing some catching up myself and just watched this.

So tempted to skip Fastlane and watch the NJPW show from this morning instead. Read stellar things about Naito vs Ibushi and Tanahashi vs Umino. I'm excited to see ZSJ vs EVIL too.
The only match at Fastlane I'm really interested in is Owens vs Bryan.
