Wasn't Defiant just basically a vanity project from some of those ex-WhatCulture guys? they always came a cross ad knobends anyway, especially that one that clearly loved himself and was outed as being a creepy sex pest on Twitter.

He hadn't been a part of it for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages. They ended up putting on some excellent shows, and had some big names appear.

The ex whatculture guys were involved when it was started as WCPW and it was probably the most watchable UK wrestling show at the time. They put on some really enjoyable shows. Then things started going wrong when they put it behind a pay wall. The main WC YouTube talent left and the owners of Whatculture changed it to defiant wrestling. It was never really the same after that.

Had WCPW got onto TV like that awful 5star wrestling did for a few weeks I honestly think something special could have happened.

None of them are my absolute favourite match of the tournament, but the triple header of EVIL/Ospreay, Ibushi/Tanahashi and Okada/Sanada yesterday made for the best show yet.

And shock horror, the best Yano match I've ever seen was with Ishii (from today)

And last night on RAW they also brought back the 'who's driving the hummer?' storyline from WCW 1999, but replaced it with a far less impressive Sedan. So their big storyline for the summer is someone is trying to kill Roman Reigns. Their camera work for these two incidents has been terrible - incredibly overproduced and hokey. Having multiple cameras and jump cuts for what is supposed to be organic, Live 'accidents' is so stupid.

Goldberg's back too to kill Ziggler at SummerSlam just so his last match isn't that disaster in the desert.

I wonder what NXT's Matt Riddle thinks. :slol:

Disaster in the Desert would be a great name for their next blood money show

The last few Raws have been pretty solid. Actually looking forward to Summer Slam now.

Remember when Braun Strowman pulled up in a garbage truck and there was a camera IN the back of the truck?

I cancelled my Network subscription last Wednesday well ahead of my renewal date (04/08/2019) and have an email confirming this but got a notification from PayPal on Sunday afternoon that they had taken the payment anyway. Has anyone else had any issue cancelling their Network subscription?

For those that didn’t see it, from SmackDown last week:

Hopefully we get Ishii/Shingo for the NEVER title at Royal Quest now though.

WWE are trying to buy fite tv........this option is higher up their list of ways to stifle AEW than simply PUTTING ON SHOWS PEOPLE WANT TO WATCH

I can’t see how that would help WWE too much, or hurt AEW? Fite is still a pretty niche streaming service, AEW moving their shows to Bleacher Report Live or another platform pretty much before the company has properly launched wouldn’t make a huge difference to them. They should look to buy Impact+ and adding that content to their network if anything, it would legit bring people back who have given up on the network.

Despite sending PayPal a screenshot of the email that proves I cancelled my Network subscription well before my billing date they are declining my appeal. How is that fair and or legal?

Have you tried contacting WWE?

This is one area where a credit card/bank would definitely have you covered.

WWE do sell subscription cards for anyone who is worried about this sort of thing (I always go with payment cards for the PlayStation Network these days), but I’ve never seen one in person. GAME sell them, but only at RRP for 3 months.

It is worth cancelling the WWE Network though because they’ll hit you up soon after with various discounts. The new app has loads of technical issues anyway so isn’t currently worth the £10.

I emailed them right after they took my tenner, got no response so went to PayPal instead. I’ve appealed their initial decision and reminded them to look at the attachment I enclosed which proves I cancelled before my billing date. It’s not the money that bothers me it’s the principle.
