I decided to shell out for NWA Into The Fire. It was an OK show, but to be honest it was £19.99 for a feature length Powerrr episode. I'm not sure how much success this model will have, £19.99 seems far too expensive for a feature length YouTube show.

They did have entrances, the wrestlers came down through the crowd from the back of the studio, but generally the format was the same as it is weekly, but with longer matches.

Wade Barrett was excellent on commentary.

WWE had an astoundingly boring 1 hour gauntlet match last night on RAW to crown a new number 1 contender for the United States Championship that ended in a no contest when Andrade jumped Humberto Carillo prior to the bell, resulting in Seth Rollins - who wasn’t even in the match - crowning himself the new number 1 contender.

You could not have trolled the dead crowd or the viewers at home any better if you tried.

Didn't they tape another 3 hour raw straight afterwards too

They did yeah, though they probably got it done in 2. Just checked the spoilers and the US title match next week...

Also ended in a DQ when AOP ran in. :fp:

Love it

TLC main event sounded like a clusterfuck with Charlotte running riot on a concussed Kairi. Whole PPV sounded shite.

Either all posts from Sunday night have been deleted, or nobody watched/cares enough to post about TLC.

The first two matches were great, and then it was all downhill from there. I haven't watched enough of The Fiend storyline to fully appreciate the significance, but the whole match with The Miz came across as really awkward, including Daniel Bryan's return.

I skipped the Rusev match because strawberry float that, and gave up on the main event as it was a mess. The end of the PPV focusing on the brawl was a bit of a slap in the face to the winners of that as well.

Survivor Series was the first 'main roster' PPV I'd watched in a good while so I was hoping the quality of that would continue. Maybe it's just taking a break before the Rumble next month...

They’re doing a wedding on the 30th December, which will be the last time WWE is on Sky.

I can’t figure out if Lana is intentionally being awful on the microphone by design or if she’s just awful.

What with that, The Miz family/Wyatt, and Reigns/Corbin ‘big dog’-food feud, they’ve cranked the nonsense right up his past month.

Why do people give WWE any benefit of the doubt these days? Insane that people watch that shite.

In news concerning a proper wrestling company, I reserved tickets today for a Gatoh Move show while I'm in Tokyo :datass:

I'm sorry for letting you down  I'll make up for it by catching up on any NJPW that I've missed to prepare for Wrestle Kingdom.

:capnscotty:

I haven't actually watched much NJPW in a while. Road to WrestleKingdom shows are on for the next 3 days though.

Post-G1 NJPW is always pretty skippable going by the last 2 years or so. Always feels like it's kinda going through the motions until Wrestle Kingdom. Never really arsed about watching 48616 tag league matches etc.

Yeah I pretty much just watch whatever I happen to catch live (shows on saturday mornings etc) Sept-Jan. I've actually watched way more DDT recently.

I can’t even remember her in WWE, that’s how much of an impact she made. They’ve got better with Renee Young, Kayla Braxton and Charlie Caruso, but prior to that the backstage interviewers were just interchangeable heads. And there’s still a number of them around. There’s a blonde woman, who’s a bit on the wooden side, that pops up sporadically and like hell can I ever remember her name.

It’s funny how Aubrey Edwards in AEW is more popular as a referee than a large section of WWE’s undercard. Almost everyone in that never ending gauntlet match on RAW would kill for a reaction like that, and they’re flipping and flying around to almost complete silence. There were many people in the crowd visibly on their phones, walking off to wherever, talking to each other...

RAW I think it was 3 weeks ago was excellent, it was like they were suddenly firing on all cylinders again, but WWE can’t ever keep the momentum up, so the following week it was back to being poor again.

True. Pretty hard to come off the back of something like that every year.

Have they announced the full card for both days of Wrestle Kingdom yet? I'm currently well looking forward to it all, but also worried knowing that it's going to take me something like a week and a half to watch it.

AEW seem to be in trouble creatively. It's quickly becoming nonsense.

I haven't even bothered watching the last few weeks tbh. I'm not really into american style wrestling, but I was really hoping that something would be able to topple the monopoly WWE has. I really hope they can get their gooseberry fool together.
