Yep, however, when you google search "greatest wrestling match ever", all you see is WWE stuff so I guess it's genius.

Yeah. They are taking the piss and it’s a clever marketing ploy.

I think they may have even taped the match already and are now editing it.

It'd be hilarious if they've added dramatic music over the top of it and shot it like you're watching a film.

Their last man standing match at Mania went on for what felt like an hour.

They have some brass balls to do that match again after how poorly the Mania match was received. I'd rather see Edge in a different feud now, preferably waiting until it can be done in front of a live crowd again.

So, British wrestling seems to be trending on Twitter right now and it’s nothing good either.

I was shocked to see Will Ospreay and Bea Priestley in the list when I was checking this morning.

If what they've been accused of is true, then they are truly despicable people.

BritWres being full of nonces is definitely one for the "unsurprising" column.

It's great that survivors are now able to speak out and hopefully there's a good clean out of the scummier people in the scene. However, we're now reaching a stage where a lot of names are being thrown around without much to back them up and some people seem to be more interested in tea spilling than in helping victims.

Some crazy allegations levelled against Jim Cornette too (that to get anywhere in OVW you were effectively forced to have sex with his wife - who to this day I've never seen - or there would be various repercussions). You just know he isn't going to ignore it though. And then Vince Russo will probably dive in at some point...and then there will be accusations towards him, and on it'll go.

Whether true or not, Cornette really doesn't help himself more than half the time with the amount of enemies he makes and people he offends everywhere he goes. He always has to be 'at war' with somebody.

What was it they were actually accused of as I couldn't really find much on it?

They are accused of having a female who spoke out about one of Will's mate's "blackballed" from the UK indy scene.

I've seen allegations flying about regarding a well known British promoter too.

Considering how long he's been around and how many performers must have worked for him and likely been aware of his behaviour this one could be a pretty deep rabbit hole to go down too.

Matt Riddle's name has also popped up via an ex girlfriend (accusation being of forced oral sex while travelling in a car).

Rather than trial by social media where everyone chimes in with their two cents (what is there to say other than the accusations are all terrible?), a lot of these matters need to be referred to the police.

Did anything ever come of the accusations against Velveteen Dream a number of months ago? Because I watched aspects of In Your House last week on Daily Motion and he was still in one of their feature matches.

Every time I look at Twitter today another name seems to come up, even seen allegations of individuals being into underage girls. This is like the Operation Yew Tree of the wrestling world.

Yeah I agree with that. It's getting to the point now where these allegations really need to be put to the police rather than social media.

With no actual charges, these people will still find work somewhere. Even with charges and conviction, you could still see them being employed again at some point.

Hasn't Ospreay been in Japan for years though? I still don't see how him and Priestley could have enough influence to get someone blackballed. I doubt they have enough drawing power themselves to do that.

Cornette's response this morning seemed extremely weak. There were pictures of his wife in the leaked messages, that needs explaining.

Ospreay only moved to Japan last year, he used to travel for tours before that. He definitely does have one of the most influential positions in BritWres for a number of years now, however this is not the first time this has become known about him and as far as I know, it has already been dealt with.

If you wanna remember why wrestling is actually great, watch Nagata/Suzuki from the New Japan Cup this week. 2 grumpy old bastards battering the strawberry float outta each other. Beautiful.

Certainly needs to go to the authorities but there in I suppose lies another problem. Most of these cases don’t get convictions because it becomes a she/he vs he/she and very little physical evidence if any years later
