Talking of people that should probably stay in archive footage, AEW has announced they’re bringing back Mike Tyson tomorrow night for Dynamite.

To be fair, he did apologise by warning the locker room to be careful what they say in case they're being recorded.

Crazy to think WWE have nine nights of programing starting with Raw right up to NXT on Tuesday next week.

They really rushed through the Hall of Fame stuff last night. Not sure why they didn’t space it out for when fans are back, especially as in the next few years they’re going to run out of notable names.

Indeed, what a waste of inductees. Just don't get it.

Watching the HOF now. My God Kevin Dunne needs to calm the strawberry float down with his camera switches, it’s a person standing there talking into a mic, literally one shot will do! There’s no need to cut to a pixelated crowd every 3.5 seconds.

Whilst I think Okada is better, Ospreay winning the title is hardly ridiculous is it? Maybe a bit out of left-field.

It's not a shock, they've been building to him winning the title since he got his own faction.

The issue is that the booking in general has nosedived over the last few months, and trying to build heat for the Ibushi/Ospreay match by running a domestic violence angel with someone who is already on thin ice with his real life treatment of women was not a wise move.

New Japan has become a great matches in a vacuum company. In-ring is probably still the best in the world, but the buzz around the promotion isn't there right now. It's really not helped by the fact they are stretching their touring schedule ridiculously thin to try and recoup the money they are losing due to limited attendances. That means each show has at best 2-3 interesting matches at the top of the card, and the rest is filler.

I guess the only true indicator will be the number of NJPW World subs.

I felt Dynamite fell a bit flat last night. Everyone seems to think Jericho cut a great promo, but I don't know if he had been drinking backstage with Tyson or something but Jericho sounded slurred.

The ending angle didn't work at all in my opinion. Bucks were heels only a few weeks ago and the turn didn't seem to make any logical sense. They tried to play up the Bucks being conflicted but then seen d to try and play that it was all part of the plan. I'm not sure just how appealing it is having ANOTHER Bullet Club based story. This is getting worse than the constant retreads of the NWO.

Fair enough.

Watched TakeOver Night 1 and thought it was excellent. 5 really well-worked matches with Ciampa and Walter being the absolute standout. MSK are a treat as well.

Walter is fantastic, kind of want him on the main roster, but Vince would just turn him into another Rusev.

Haven't watched NXT yet. At first I wasn't sure if it was going to be exclusive to BT for 7 days but thankfully not (the WWE Network no longer has a TV guide beyond 1 day). Will watch tonight leading into night 2.

If you're a casual viewer or fan, having Bad Bunny and Logan Paul on your shows feels a lot more relevant to 2021 than Mike Tyson does to AEW...again.

My interest in New Japan has nosedived over the past year with the dodgy booking and Bullet Club interference in every one of their matches.

NJPW and AEW trying to outdo each other in the run-in stakes recently, as well.

Why would you ever want a good wrestler on the WWE main roster?

Look at the WrestleMania set and massive pirate ship (which was supposed to be last year):

Shame about the lacklustre card, but just to have fans back will hopefully make for a better viewing experience again. The novelty of the Thunderdome for me has really worn off. And as for the train noises when Strowman runs around the ring... :fp:
