Eric Bischoff is still intent on bringing Jim Ross into TNA as an announcer. After many months of speculation as to what he’d do when his WWE contract expired, Ross signed a short-term extension back in December and is expected to be with WWE through mid-2010. That said, the face of the pro wrestling industry is sure to change this year, with TNA going to Monday nights on March 8th, so who knows what the future holds. It should also be noted that TNA pushed hard to recruit the WWE hall of famer for iMPACT!'s three-hour live show on January 1st.

With that being said, Mike Tenay, who has been with TNA since day one, is said to be paranoid over his position with the company due to the fact that people within the organization have attempted to recruit Jim Ross as his replacement. Although it should be noted that Tenay is considered by many in the company to be paranoid in general, but the company's shift in power has made him more leery than usual.

I personally hope JR doesn't go to TNA...because it would mean years more of Michael Cole on Raw.

Couldn't they go old-school Raw with three announcers? I mean, it's not like Tazz ever has anything interesting to say, so having JR and Tenay building up feuds and promos would only be a good thing for TNA.
If they were to go to add a second show, as has been rumoured, I'm sure they could add Tenay there.

Major Spoiler: Michael Cole to TNA

Only kidding, but how better would WWE be without his voice

You Sure?

Ross posted a blog on his official website saying initially he was not happy with the move and considered quitting the company since he was not told beforehand about the move

What's that got to do with him being happy with his legacy? And in any case, wanting to quit WWE does not = joining TNA. It could just mean, you know, quitting altogether.

I'm not a fan of any three-man booth, unless it contains Mike Tenay; he is the perfect 3rd man.

Posted my predictions below, quite worried about this ppv, really think i'm about to mess up big style. At least i have an awesome triple prize heading my way eh Rog! There are many outcomes that i can see for the RAW EC which makes that one very interesting. The SD seems like it will be a cert between Jericho or Taker however they are easily 4 winners in the Raw one.

WWE: Elimination Chamber

Gail Kim vs. Maryse (Divas Championship Match)
Winner (worth double): Maryse

Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Kane
Winner (worth double): Drew McIntyre

World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match
The Undertaker (c) vs. John Morrison vs. R-Truth vs. CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio
Winner (worth triple): Chris Jericho
First eliminated: R-Truth
Last eliminated: Undertaker

WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match
Sheamus (c) vs. John Cena vs. Triple H vs. Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase vs. Kofi Kingston
Winner (worth triple): Sheamus
First eliminated: Kofi Kingston
Last eliminated: Triple H

Arguably, Tenay was at his best in WCW part of a 3 man team. He's completely different in TNA compared to 10 years ago. As a lead commentator (which he later became in WCW on Thunder), he's poor.

The 3 man booth worked fine in the 90's - whether it was Vince McMahon, Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler on Raw or Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay & Bobby Heenan/Larry Zybysko on Nitro, so I can't see why they can't experiment. They don't even have to go that way - they could swap the 2 man team on the hour.

If JR did go to TNA in my view it would make them sound so much more professional and he'd sure to kick the other commentary teams ass

MUST LISTEN

The unthinkable has happened, as the co-author of The Death of WCW & owner of WrestleCrap.com, RD Reynolds interviews Vince Russo over an hour & twenty minutes. Let the fireworks begin...

(I haven't listened to it yet, BTW)

Mother Of God.pic

Skipped through this so far, and at 40 minutes there's still no wrestling talk.

There's no wrestling talk in this until the last 3 minutes or so.

Hillarous :?

His best quote from his new shitty book, really showing what kind of person he is:

I can never take back the years I stole from my own family in favor of writing fake wrestling scripts for human beings who could never have the insight to appreciate what I was attempting to do for them and their families. Yes, perhaps the wrestling business has hurt me more than any other.

Bruce Mitchell had an excellent rebutal.

Dear Christ, Smackdown is awful. Seriously cringeworthy stuff and I'm including room-for-iMPACT in that.

The whole Beautiful People rip-off made my skin crawl and it's shame Eddie was the member of the Guerrero family to kick the bucket...

The face fighting for the belt makes more sense (& money) than the face going in as the champion.

Sheamus doesn't make money though

Wrestlemania will still sell truckloads regardless

Yeah especially with the shit-hot card they seem to be heading towards but I'm still certain Sheamus wont be champ going into it

Watching a clip of Christian v Ezekial Jackson on WWE.com and you can clearly hear Zeke ask Christian if he's alright when putting him on the turnbuckle and then Christian tells him to set up the table. Keep it down a bit, lads, don't break the illusion.

You have to remember, Cosmo, that you need an audience before you can break any illusion they might have

I'll take that wager. £5? There is simply no way Sheamus won't be champion going into Mania.
