I thought it was ace, and I loved the new look of the show and the title music fits well. Ditching the titantron has made entrances look much more personal and seem better. Even the canvas they use for the ring was less springy and made a deeper thud sound. I don't know if that was just to do with the canvas mic setup, but I liked it and hope it is an actual change.

Please may this continue, although I'm already doubting it will and can't help feeling that it was only better because of the venue.

Oh and I thought the timing of the main event seemed spot on.

i'm sure the titantron will be back next week. It's just set out that way for MSG.

Yes, they always have that close layout for MSG. Sorry to piss on your chips Zellery

I'm dead serious, I watch it all the time. It's awful, I don't know how I bring myself to sometimes. WWE isn't much better, but I only watch PPVs now for GRAPL.

Raw [is War] has been to MSG numerous times before & they've always used the big set. Apart from a Raw on the 22nd December 1997 which I completely forgot about (in which Shawn Michaels & Triple H mooned the crowd), they've always used the big TitanTron.

It's reminiscent of the old WWF LED set that they used for Raw in 1993/1994. Raw desperately needed a revamp, & with the simple set they used last night it put the emphasise back on the ring, while also making things feel more intimate. Regardless of the quality of the show, Raw felt alive & exciting again - something it hasn't been for months.

It was a poor show (it started of brilliantly though) but I enjoyed it because the crowd were great and I loved the small set.

What with WWE: A Raw Thanksgiving next week, which will feature all 3 brands, it should continue the 'new' feeling. Fingers crossed they drag out the graveybowl from retirement...

Only downside is that the show is 3 hours (first of two), which is always slightly hard work to sit through these days.

Is it me or has Raw this year seemed to end with more tag matches than ever before, in a hurried way to get all the stars on the show seen? There must be some figures floating around..

The Kofi/Orton brawl, bar the dodgy start was brilliant, the program they're having has been the best thing about Wrestling in some time, hopefully they don't have Kofi lose at Survivor Series and just drop him and the angle, he's really getting over both wrestling and promo wise, I'm very impressed.

Reading this weeks Impact's spoilers summed it up nicely, I won't say what happened, but it highlights so many problems the company has. Add to that the fact that they're still doing more swerves than is humanly possible, look at Team 3D they can't decide if they should be face or heel, then there was Kevin Nash at the PPV, just no sense in having him do what he did. My friend watched the PPV on Sunday night and said bar the two main events the rest was poor and match stipulations were made for no reason, apparently they changed Steiner v Lashley to no DQ just because  Obviously I'll wait till Thursday to watch it (I'll record it and watch after lectures), but the product has so much ability, yet the execution is piss poor, see AJ as champion, his booking leading up to Turning Point was dire and he's the strawberry floating champion, yet he and that feud is treated as that of a mid card one. If you act like a second rate product, that's what you'll be and that's a shame because it'd be nice to have a challenger to the WWE to make them improve their product as well.

Orton always does well at SS but I think he'll win anyway. Very heel fashion though and it'll lead to one singles match at least, hopefully two.

While that is true about the set, they have used the short entrance a few times too, i fully expect to see the normal titantron and ramp back next week. By using the short entrance at MSG it allows them to get far more people into the arena, if they used the ramp then they wouldn't have had 20,000 in, rather about 16-17,000.

I agree that the feel was great and they could do it at msg as they had some very large tv screens hanging above the ring that allowed the crowd to watch the stuff that's usually on the titantron. They don't have this option at most places.

The short entrance is roughly 53x more awesome than the Titantron set. :(

Your persuasion skills are really gooseberry fool.

You would have been far better off saying something like 'You chaps who like WWE, give the following matches a watch and tell me what you think. I think you will really enjoy them'.

Your current tone is very demeaning - just a tip.

Watched Angle/Wolfe, was amazing. Trying to find AJ/Daniels/Joe. Sure it's good.

But TNA didn't have an excellent match in a year; perhaps now they've stopped booking the oldies vs the young guns they'll have plenty more. They had good matches, but nothing amazing, like HBK/Undertaker. Nothing seems to matter in TNA.

It's not like I hate TNA for no reason, I dislike it because it's poorly booked shite 90% of the time. And this is coming from someone who has watched it religiously for 5 years. I have every monthly PPV up until last year and every FSN episode of Impact downloaded.

Just because WWE is bad, it doesn't make TNA good.

He has a colon disorder, same as JR did. It's very painful, but he's in one of the best hospitals in the world.

Ah, right, phew.

Everyone keeps says that even if he survives, he might not be allowed to wrestle again... That'd suck. I still want to see him in TNA.
