The Bryan & Vinny Show is a must listen this week, if only to hear The Iron Sheik "sing" strawberry floating Around The Christmas Tree at around the 34 minute mark.

TNA will have a massive billboard in New York's Times Square tomorrow, presumably advertising the Live iMPACT!

Do we think they'll put it outside the Hard Rock Cafe (formerly WWF New York)?

Hulk Hogan was supposed to be a guest on The Surf last night here in Canada, which is a live show, but they announced that he had an interview earlier and was coughing a lot, therefore couldn't make it on the show. Apparently he came down with a bad cold from Australia.

The host was wearing a yellow shirt and red tie and the backstage crew were all decked out in red and yellow Hulk gear. About halfway through the show they revealed that Jimmy Hart, who was thought to be making an appearance as well, also backed out. The host said it was odd how he couldn't make it considering how willing they were to provide transportation for him.

The interactive producer John Pollock called in and said he had talked to Hulk who sounded sick during the interview. He said Hulk claimed he had a problem with a lot of the people currently in TNA, some of who he had worked with before, particularly the writing staff and Russo. Hogan apparently said he was going to be assessing everyone and wouldn't have a problem walking out on TNA if he has issues with the way things are run there.

Hogan was apparently critical of Bischoff's work in WCW as well during the interview, to which the host said was odd because Bischoff has been the shining light for Hogan whenever he was in need. I don't know if Hogan was being "truthful" or doing a worked shoot for the interview.

Sounds like things are off to a great start!

Wouldn't it be terrible if Hogan no-showed the Live iMPACT...

I'm disliking Hogan more and more lately.

He sounds like such a cock.

There is one thing i can't stand about the WWE and that's their insistance on announcing any wrestlers with a british connection in stones rather than pounds. Saying a wrestlers weighs in at 23 stone just sounds stupid. As pounds make up stones why don't they just stick to just pounds.

For those that haven't seen it, Bret Hart: Wrestling with Shadows is still available to watch (legally) online.

Great insight in to the WWF during 1997 & the situation leading up to, & including, the WWF Survivor Series.

Nope. Absolutely nothing.

Yeah, I thought that was a bit strange.

Regarding JR and TNA, I think JR's style works best when there's thousands of people going mental. He couldn't really go mental with ten people in the iMPACT Zone going, "yay"

It wasn't strange. They didn't do a tribute for Test, so they wouldn't have done it for Umaga.

Not acknowledging Umaga at the top of the programme with a graphic though was rather out of order. He was with the WWE long enough to warrant it.

WWE is having a torrid time in the ratings this week. Raw did a lacklustre 3.2, & ECW reached a record low with a 0.8. In more bad news, John Cena won't be available for Raw on the 4th January.

For those keeping score (nobody) Paul Burchill has returned to ECW as The Ripper - a 'mysterious' masked wrestler.

Can you believe ECW debuted with a 2.7 rating? If that isn't a sign of just how badly the WWE have strawberry floated it up, I don't know what is. Fans expected something different, the WWE delivered it on PPV & then told everyone to strawberry float off. He's had 3 attempts at promoting something other than the WWE, & the WWE style of wrestling & he's failed.

Never mind about a rebrand, with a rating like that SyFy may just axe the slot altogether. This would put the WWE in a predicament with international broadcasters such as Sky as they would have been promised a set amount of first run programming.

Your 3 sigs bother me.

I was listening to last weeks Bombcast earlier and they spent a while talking about the situation with Midways old TNA team now being owned by THQ. I wonder if SVR2010 will be the last Smackdown developed by Yukes before the series is switched over to the old TNA team while all of Yukes is focused on the UFC franchise going forward.

I very much doubt the above, Yukes make the notrious Fire Pro Wrestling I think thats the name in Japan, basically its the japanese #1 wrestling game, they made it way before Smackdown began, so wrestling is there forte. Just because THQ aquired TNA's development team doesnt mean i) that they would be put on a wrestling project or ii) that Yukes would want them on their team - the contract is between THQ Yukes and WWE.
