They need to have Del Rio on the road looking for Punk now, MITB briefcase and referee in hand. :shifty:

A nod to the excellent Hardcore championship days with the title under 24/7 rules (I love that storyline)

They put up a graphic, if memory serves correctly. Don't remember a video package.

As awesome as Punk is, I really hope they keep him off tv for as long as possible (but still reference him). It'll keep things building until his eventual return and add even more weight to the storyline. If they manage that, the place would go even more mental when he comes back.

That would be immense. Like if Punk just vanished off the face of the Earth for a few months, and Del Rio is seen travelling the country to find him. At the end of it all, Punk could simply walk out the next time WWE is scheduled in Chicago and take him on. :shifty:

Honestly? One scenario is that Vince holds a tournament over the next few weeks- leading up to some kind of huge match at SummerSlam- say it's Cena v Del Rio at SummerSlam for the vacant title...and towards the end of the match, Punk comes in with the old belt and takes both of them out, for a DQ and thus ruining Vince's chance to crown a new champion.

I quite like the idea of Vince pretending Cena beat Punk, which then leads to Punk returning & showing the whole thing up to be a sham & that Cena or whoever is holding a replica belt. Have the announcers forced to go along with it, too. Basically nobody, outside of a pissed Cena, is acknowledging the thing is a lie. But obviously the viewer knows different.

Cena has to go along with it, or is fired, say.

Well I disagree with the format of the Tag Battle!Joint second best score and we're eliminated,it should be in league format like the regular GRAPL.Ah well,at least I can focus on my singles career from now on.

Drumstick you crock of shite!!You're officially through the barber shop window!!!

The PPV was great, but you have to be a pervert to watch RAW live. I cannot think of a more painful viewing experience.

Watching a taped episode of Smackdown.

It's pretty amazing seeing two teams get 12 and 13 points and progress with bonus points, while three teams that score 18, one gets eliminated and the other two get no bonus points.

Certainly flawed.

Clearly the solution was to score the most points out of anyone.

I was just thinking, with the 'Summer' in full swing, we surely can't be too far away from the return of the confirmed Divas Search, no?

Punk on Twitter:

I bet vince is putting on make up right now to go on tv and talk. That'll be interesting. #whatamanuver yfrog.com/kecu9orj

The pic, for those of you too lazy to follow is of the title on the Chicago Cubs logo. Presumably he's still at that stadium.
