I like how Riley's name is the only one that isn't capitalised, like the guy uploading them didn't give a strawberry float.

Dare I even ask why Antonio Cesaro is now walking around like a cross between a chimp and George The Animal Steele? What ludicrous gimmick have they bestowed upon him now...

WWE SmackDown Tapings

Lilian Garcia came out to polite applause. Michael Cole came out to nothing. JBL entered to a warm reception. This is the most packed I've seen the Coliseum in a while for wrestling. The lower section looks totally full, and there are even a few seats open up top, which is rare around here.

Daniel Bryan promo started off the taping. He said Team Hell No is one of the greatest teams in WWE history, and called Kane to the ring. Bryan says when he and Randy win the tag team titles, though, he and Kane won't be able to tag anymore, which prompted Kane to ask, "Are you, like, breaking up with me?" Bryan called Kane the weak link. Kane grabbed Bryan for the chokeslam, which brought out Randy Orton. The three argued amongst themselves. The Shield cut a promo on the Tron stating they'll win tonight, like they have in every other match.

Match 1: Sheamus defeated Antonio Cesaro with the Brogue Kick out of the corner for the win. Cesaro got the jobber entrance. Damien Sandow came out pre-match and put over Cesaro and his match with Sheamus at Payback Kickoff. After the match, Sandow attacked Sheamus on the stage.

Teddy Long delivered a promo on the Tron. He put over Hardee's burgers. Dolph Ziggler, Langston, and AJ showed up. Ziggler said it's his triumphant return to Smackdown, and he should get more respect. They left, and Big E returned to eat Teddy's burger.

Match 2: Heath Slater defeated The Great Khali. A 3MB distraction led to a Slater DDT and the victory.

Match 3: Alberto Del Rio and Chris Jericho defeated Big E Langston and World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler. Lilian announced Ricardo in Spanish, so Ricardo announced Del Rio in English. From where I'm sitting, Ricardo's pop was bigger than Del Rio's. An AJ distraction and slap to Jericho led to the heels taking control. Del Rio got the hot tag, and soon after, he rolled up Ziggler for the win.

Jericho cut a delivered a promo after his match. Paul Heyman showed up to tell Jericho that he has no chance. Y2J ended up shoving the mic into Heyman's mouth.

Match 4 never officially got started between Divas Champion Kaitlyn and Aksana as Kaitlyn attacked her before the bell, leading to referees coming out and holding her back.

Match 5: Curtis Axel defeated Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett in a non-title match. Barrett grabbed a mic and told Heyman it would make more business sense to wait until Sunday, and skip the match tonight. Miz came out to egg them on, and the match began. At ringside, Barrett threw Axel into Miz. Axel pinned Barrett shortly after. Miz then jumped Axel and dropped him with the Skull Crushing Finale.

Main Event: Team Hell No and Randy Orton defeated The Shield. Finish saw Seth Rollins taking a mid-air RKO, and Bryan slapping on the Yes! Lock for the win.

Yeah, Cena beat them about a month ago on his own. ;)

About Smackdown though, I don't it matters so much in this instance though. They've been built up perfectly and shown they can take on anyone on the roster without the result being a foregone conclusion. They'll probably win on Sunday due to Bryan and Orton not working well together, Bryan will go on to face Orton and the Shield will continue being amazing.

I've noticed they've started losing singles matches as well and seem to be losing unofficial beat downs as well by retreating.

I don't mind the shield losing but I can see them becoming mid-card jobbers.

Especially if the Wyatt family are coming in soon.

Only negative about the SummerSlam 98 release is the removal of AC/DC's No Chance in Hell, which played a big part in show, especially the build up.

Rumoured WWE Summerslam shinanigans

Taker/Kane v The SHIELD (If no Taker then possibly Orton/Sheamus v Shield)

Other matches in the works for SummerSlam:
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan
Big E Langston vs. Big Show or Mark Henry
US Champion Dean Ambrose vs. Rey Mysterio

Aside from those SummerSlam matches, WWE is looking at Randy Orton vs. Ryback and Rey Mysterio vs. Jack Swagger as feuds for this summer.

The Swagger one sort of makes sense with last weeks Zeb attack on Sin Cara when doing commentary.

WWE were planning for DBry to face Orton this weekend at the PPV as well - Heavily expected either Mr.Orton or DBry will be "turning heel" - likes possible it could be DBry

Can't have anyone coming close to matching Cena's popularity :dread: I agree though turning Bryan heel when he's this popular just makes no sense. Difference between him and Orton is even though Orton is real popular as well..he's just better suited as being a heel.

Punk vs Lesnar would be pretty good..but if these are plans for the summer then i'm a little surprised that this dirtsheet report made no mention of that.
