so i joined the story sharing website wattpad and have uploaded the first part of my 3rd story.

Gave it a vote and gave you a follow. An enjoyable read. Think I've said this to you before, but the action would flow better broken up into smaller paragraphs. Individual actions blend together with it all contained within one.

The Alternate Extras of Halesowen gets another addition, continuing from Chaos of the Mind and giving a bit more insight into Brandon's thoughts and feelings that motivate him during Walking, Talking, Fact Finding of The Alternate Adventures of Halesowen.

Ah, that makes sense. No worries on getting it all uploaded. As long as you're consistent with when.

If you want to maximise viewership, that is.

I'm at a little over 24k words now, which I'd estimate puts me at roughly a quarter of the (first) story told.

Another few years and who knows, I could be halfway there!

We should organise a support group.

We'll get round to it one day... maybe.

Well, as the saying goes, a writer's job is 99% saying they're a writer, and 1% actually writing.

A question on writing in tenses, as I realise I might have been doing this without noticing.

Here is a brief extract:

The sound of the door shutting behind her released a breath that Daria realised she had been holding onto. Straightening herself up and regaining her confident stride, she resolved to focus on getting on with what needed to be done.

Should I be writing 'As she straightened herself up and regained her confident stride...' there, instead of using present verbs? I think I used them to give a more active, fluid style to the writing, but am I risking arrest if the Grammar Police show up?! :shock:

As long as it's consistent, I don't think it matters which tense you use.
