Anyone found any new channels they love to watch? I have no real world interest in it but I am now into watching Warhammer 40K stuff  My favourite channels feeding my eventual first WH40K hobby purchase: Goobertown Hobbies (the Bob Ross of miniatures), Squidmar Miniatures (zany and chill) and Luetin09 (Covers lore. Awesome speaking voice.) I also watch some other artists... er, Duncan Rhodes, Artist Opus and Trovarian Miniatures.

They all make it look so easy I just know I'm gonna end up spending money on a kit and binning it soon after

https://www.youtube.com/@unclecoolie

This guy does road trips across the US (normally at 4x speed), and i watch them each evening in 30 minute sessions.

This was the first video i watched from the channel...

Always watch them when listening to music, and it's a great way to chill out and see the states from a different perspective.

Few days old, but the new Jim Can't Swim Criminal Psychology is up. It's about that suitcase hide and seek woman. What she did was strawberry floating awful, but she's so strawberry floating dim and her protestations so utterly weak I can't help but laugh.

I thought that JCS had stopped making videos for the channel? Sure I remember something like that.

Will check this one out later.

They've been back for two or three videos since then.

That video is 3 days old. It already has 6m views. His subscriber count is 5.29m. That is insane for a channel like that.

First time JCS has used AI for their narrator, too.

Holy gooseberry fool. Just heard an old ep and the latest one. There's def something off about new vo. Is use of AI confirmed somewhere? Is Kizume ill or something? He's still credited in the video.

No idea, but i noticed it right away. Such is the amount of time ive spent watching JCS. :slol:

But you can definitely tell it's not his regular cadence and is very similar to those Trump and Obama AI fakes that have been doing the rounds.

Seems AI doesn't have cadence down yet.

If you haven't already found it, Explore With Us does a fairly good job of scratching that JCS itch.

Has anyone got any advice on what kit they use for decent vocal audio? I'm just using my phone camera but picture quality seems OK. I've also got a drone from my other job but had forgotten to charge it and then has been raining... so only a few seconds made it into the first video.

I've made a few YouTube videos (just about this year's harvest - latest one here https://youtu.be/643-Xcbo-pc) but the biggest issue I'm having is with audio. I saw the USB-C lapel mics were quite cheap but I'm just doing this for fun so wanted to know if they were a worthwhile investment. For editing I'm using clipchamp to mush the segments together.

Quite enjoying it so far and wish I'd started a few years back - I've done quite a lot around the farm and this is more enjoyable than writing!
