I know it's unlikely to be watched. I pop the videos in a game thread in the game section and get no views (even people I link to them don't watch them ) but here's the latest thing I did on the Blair Witch game.



Tbh, most videos there are simply just streams exported there so they aren't wiped. Though I did do that on Blair Witch, and another 4 videos talking about a few other games I had played over a few months. Tbh, feedback is what I am after more than anything.

Lazy Game Reviews - basically a pc nostalgia thread. he has a great soothing voice and he basically collects old tech and pc stuff and does docs, thrift trips and all sorts



My Life In Gaming - frankly insanely high production to subscribers ratio here. retro gaming in detail - all sorts.



Kotaku - Tim Rogers. basically a marmite character, Tim Rogers does these insane video essays where he talks about nonsense and insightful stuff for 30mins to an hour. he has a great turn of phrase. he annoys a lot of people but i and many others love him.



Matthewmatosis - does massive video essays of brilliant games. he's ace

Tifo/Tifo podcast - intelligent football videos and podcast. recently heavily sponsored by The Athletic which even theyre are getting bored of mentioning but these are great channels:

I'm not even that into comics, and I've really enjoyed a few of his videos in the past, specifically the ones where he looks at the career of particular artists. Some are pretty damning.


Realised I haven't posted in here about a smaller youtuber who I really like, and might be if interest to others here, Marijam Didžgalvytė. She's an anarchist and games journalist, and helped found the UK branch of the Game Workers Unite Union. Posts some really interesting takes on issues in games with an explicitly radically leftist critique, which actually makes for some really interesting points that aren't often made elsewhere.

She does a series of short videos about games and politics called Left Left Up:


And is also one half of a left wing relationship advice channel called Anarcho Agony Aunts (episodes also available broken up into individual questions):


Like i said, niche, but I know there's a fair few lefty gamers on here, so seems like a decent enough place to try and spread the word.

It usually takes me a few weeks to find a new YT channel whose presenter/content I find agreeable, but recently I've found two in the space of a few days: Wrestling with Wregret (reviews of old PPVs and other wrestling stuff) and SNES Drunk. SNES Drunk I only found earlier so may not stand the test, but the host isn't close to annoying so I think I'll stick around. Oh and GameHut! (Run by the founder of Traveller's Tales, he goes into the techy tricks he used to pull off effects on old consoles, how he stymied pirates on the Amiga and other stories along those lines. Check it out!)
