Question for those who have been to Legoland: Should we allow 2 days for it or is there only enough park to get one good day out of it?

There isn't massive amounts there so you will be able to do it all in a day without too much worry. Unless it is hyper busy anyways.

Shouldnt be, planning to go on early September when the schools are back so it will hopefully be quiet. Thanks for the info.

Yeah you will be fine then, take a look at the ride lists and map and work out roughly what you want to do and you will be fine. Chessington is near by so for your second day head there

mhmm is 25 miles from Legoland to Chessington.

Shot of Colossus from today. Due to spacing in queues all the old sections of queue lines are being used as they need the space so getting to see rides from angles you might normally miss which is quite nice.

What's your thoughts on all the recent London Resort News? Seems to potentially be getting off the ground. I'm still a bit sceptical that it will happen. But a lot more details are being made clear and they are claiming to be looking to put full planning permission in later in the year.

I like the idea of the new park, but I struggle to be convinced it will happen, especially with Brexit as it will be harder for euro folk to come over.

Would like a new park, but yeah dunno, seems unlikely it will ever happen, it also seems like a silly place given how expensive it will be and traffic already being a bloody nightmare.

With the exception of Ebbsfleet International railway station the location makes little sense to me.

I’m incredibly dubious about all the claims for the site. It doesn’t seem big enough to me for their plans. My gut feeling is that it ends up with some leisure facilities and thousands of houses and apartments being built.

Yeah, what they want to do is massive, it needs to be in the middle of England somewhere eating a gooseberry fool load of space and will need space to grow, it just can’t be what they say it will.

The only way I think I would go “hmm ok maybe this can work” is if Merlin got involved as they know their theme park gooseberry fool, but without something like that naaaa.

I have only been to Legoland Deutschland and Legoland Florida but I think they are all around the same size and both you would only need one day for

I've not been to a theme park for a long time and I'm wondering how glasses users tackle rollercoasters.
Do you take them off (I'm basically blind without them) and risk them falling off and being destroyed or do you just take them off and store them in a case or bag?

I’ve not been for years either, but before I wore contact lenses, I would hold my specs in place with one of those elastic band devices. And the same at gigs. My glasses somehow survived Metallica and Megadeth mosh pits.

I take mine off, depending on the coaster. Stuff like Big Thunder Mountain I'll tend to leave them on, but if it's a loopy thing or something a bit more intense I'll take them off and chuck them in my bag.

I too am nigh blind without my specs. I nearly lost my glasses as a kid on the Grand National at Blackpool Pleasure Beach so ever since I'll take my glasses off and leave them in my bag.

Anyone else gene watching the LegoLand show on 5. It’s really good to see behind the scenes a little.

Last year we went a few time’s when filming was going on, a few rides got shut so they could film so am glad it’s decent, would have been strawberry floated off to not get to go on something and then the show turn out to be gooseberry fool.
