That is certainly ambitious and a huge change from what they have now, hopefully it all pans out.

Thx for posting the artwork. I was on my phone at the time so couldn't really post anything properly

I think the problem with rolling everything out in 2021 or whatever is that at the moment Disney Studios isn't a very good park, and it's going to continue to not be very good for the next three years. It would make more sense to gradually build it up (like, start with the Aerosmith/Avengers rebrand and go from there). Then by the time they've got to building the Frozen land the hype might have died out and they'd realise what a terrible idea it is.

From what I've seen, they go on about phases, so I guess it will be done bit by bit kicking off in 2021 (which is very strange, given that why not do Marvel over next two years?)...

All that matters is Tower of Terror not being turned into some god-awful Guardians themed ride...

This is strawberry floating awesome. I’ve waited so long for this. Can’t wait, they need to start ASAP. I was saving up for my next trip there but I’m willing to put it off depending on the time scales.

I also hope there’s a minor extension to toy story playland in there as well.

On that picture it looks like the stunt show is going completely and that whole are is redeveloped along with the clear addition of the doubling of the park behind it.

Apparently the Quinjet in the concept art is in front of the stunt show building, which'll become a SHIELD stunt show or something.

Disappointed it's just a new X-Wing in Star Wars land rather than a Falcon, too ;)

This article is very good and as some much higher resolution images than I’ve seen on the main news sites. Makes the areas very clear.

I’m disappointed to read that it will be done in phases. Especially as they appear to be investing one big lump sum and most of the work is clearly going to be a new area of the park and shouldn’t effect the current operation of it. You would think it could all be done at once. The marvel area is mostly a redevelopment of an area of the current park so will require the loss of some attractions during the work.

Went to Alton Towers today and it was a lovely hot day there. Managed to do 4 of the 7 big rides (Nemesis, Gallactica, Smiler, Oblivion) plus a couple of the others including Justin’s House PieoMatic (best fun all day shooting some kids and their folks with a volley of sponge balls!)

Unfortunately didn’t get chance to try Wicker Man as, despite getting in the park by 1005, the queue was at an astounding 120 mins already. No worries, we have Merlin Annual passes so will go again this year.

Queued over 30 mins for an ice cream van today too! 2nd longest queue of the day!

Rode it 3 times because friend gets a disabled pass and went midweek :datass:

It's alright, better than I expected, rest of the park is in an awful state though...

Worst thing is if you want to Fasttrack Wicker Man you have to buy the Gold Fasttrack Pass at £60per person! strawberry float that. Shortest queue I saw on the app was 45/mins but we were halfway through the queue for the Smiler at that point.

When you’ve got 2 under 10s like I had, 2 hrs queuing isn’t really feasible as they get restless

Benzin, really? AT is a beautiful place to walk through with its picturesque gardens. Better than Thorpe or Chessington

Yeah anyone that says Alton is a state hasn't seen Chessington for some time!

They're all in a state which is the main concern :dread:

There's just so many closed shops, food places and rides standing doing nothing... Which is why the busy times are so bad, apparently they were expecting 7k less today than turned up...

They obviously need to sort their data analytics a bit to better predict.

Some of the pics coming out of the sheer destruction are quite sad, the area was lovely :(

Lost an entire ride (Pirates of Caribbean rip off) and their Norway area... Rapids have been damaged too as a result...

Just came to post about the fire. Amazing that it took out so much. Such a great theme park. Much better than anything we have in the UK.

Icon at Blackpool is good, surprisingly given that most people I know have been rather "MEH" over it... Mean it's not the greatest thing since sliced bread but you know...

Glad that the UK have two good new rides in a year for the first time in ages
