Surely it just makes it look like he forgot what he was going to say.

My landlord. I complain about damp, he says he'll fix it but doesn't.

I move out, during my notice period a letting agent complains about damp and he sends someone in to make the repairs with nothing but a "BY THE WAY SOMEONE IS COMING IN TO FIX THE DAMP TODAY" text. I ask him to wait until next week so I can move my stuff into boxes, he says the handy man is away next week and he doesn't mind moving my stuff.

I strawberry floating mind.

I know. Bunch of banana splits. Send a text telling him I don't want someone moving my stuff and I just get told that it's too late as he's already done the work. The strawberry float?

People who, on football articles/forums, write "Liverpool fan in peace" (or whatever their team is) when commenting on an article or topic about another team. It's a website, not some kind of war zone. :fp:

That's actually illegal, isn't it? Landlords have to give you 24 hours notice to have someone enter the property, unless it's an emergency. The fact that the workman he chose couldn't do it at a later date is not an excuse. That's his problem. Either your landlord doesn't know what he's doing or he's abusing your generosity.

I wouldn't rent again either, but for the fact that I have gooseberry fool credit (probably) and can't afford a house or mortgage.

For the most part I've been left totally alone and stuff gets fixed promptly. Maybe I just don't throw money at banana splits

Haven't your parents put more money towards 'your' home then you have, so far?

In a way, but it's a civil matter not a criminal one. If your landlord does this you have to go to the civil courts and get some kind of order, then if he breaks that it's a criminal matter. As I'm moving out in 3 weeks it's not worth the effort.

The work to "fix" the damp seems to have been to just scrub the bathroom ceiling with bleach. I do this anyway as the mould always builds up due to inadequate ventilation and no heaters in the whole place. No work to the wallpaper in other rooms hanging off or the massive damp patch in the living room

It's just going to come back.

It just took me over half an hour or updates and entering details and passing security checks to get to 4oD on my xbox. "To view on demand content you must upgrade to xbox live gold". Seriously? A free strawberry floating streaming service? When did that happen?

strawberry float this gooseberry fool. Console gaming everyone.

That's how it's always been on Xbox. You need Gold for 4od, even services you already pay a subscription to like Netflix or Sky you have to pay for a gold subscription ontop of.

Playstation on tye other hand doesn't force you to have Plus to access free or subscription services.

I know. I can't believe how much they bang on about this stuff yet deliver such a terrible user experience. I doubt xbox one is really much better, or if I am wrong, I don't care, it's not my problem they haven't convinced me. I'm not putting money into a service that has proven to be so poor.

I just thought it would be nice to watch 4oD on the telly for one, as wii doesn't have it. Cue a whirlwind of gooseberry fool. I took so long, my tea and breakfast went cold and I literally needed to run and take a gooseberry fool after and then I rage quit when it took forever to navigate the menus in iplayer which, amazingly, is actually free.

So I'll be building a pc tv box, then. What a monumental waste of time. This happens almost every time I turn on the console admittedly because I almost never use it.

All the landlords I've had have been really great. Guess it's just down to luck.
