Nearly everyone just complains about every show that's on TV, nobody has anything ever good to say and everyone seems to be strawberry floating movie/TV show experts. i don't think you read what i was saying or at least just mangling what i said. I said nearly everyone complains and nobody has anything good to say.

These aren't opinions that are helpful or constructive, just complaining for the hell of it with nothing helpful or informative. There are some great shows on TV but always with the way things go people like to complain more than talk about the positives. I notice this way of acting seems to be even worse when it comes to tv/films then computer games, no idea why but the funniest thing is if some series of show is gooseberry fool how comes they keep watching the strawberry floating thing, to me it seems it's just so they can complain about it. I'm not really sure why people do this kind of stuff, if i hate i show i stop watching it.

Let's use Arrow as an example. It is entertaining, but if you analysis it enough to write an opinion about it you can't help but bring up its many faults. Also people are more likely to complain about something than praise it. When I was doing marketing, I think they said if you provide an excellent service, the customer will tell 2 friends. However if it was a shitty service, they will tell 7 friends.

yep quite agree about the negatives being spoken out more on subjects rather than positives. I do wonder if this is generally a british thing or maybe world wide as people just love to bring out the negatives. A lot like this thread

Internet forums lend themselves to detailed analysis and are an ideal platform for people to really put effort into explaining why they feel a show doesn't work or has flaws. In a pub convo, the same person may simple say "yeah, it's alright" and move on - but forums allow the time and space to expand on things in your own time.

And a negative aspect will always have to be explained a lot more than a positive aspect, since you obviously need to qualify your negative view, otherwise it's just a pointless negative remark. Whereas people don't seem to mind "that was awesome!" posts.

So it makes sense that negative debate takes up a bit more space than the gushing praise.
