The Discovery Channel annoys me. I used to love that channel when I was a kid, now you might as well call it the Canadian Hillbilly Channel. It is a sad state of affairs when I would rather watch the religion channel featuring a guy saying how Katy Perry is the devil, over the entire Sky Network.

Are you allowed to smoke on buses in NZ?

"Hi Karl, I just want to make you an offer of a reward for your loyalty to EE..."

Does anyone else get really irritated by this kind of thing? Sometimes it's just marketing bollocks, and then it's nothing but a waste of my time... other times it can be a genuinely good offer, but I'm loathe to commit to any change in my mobile plan off-the-cuff without doing some research into it, and I don't know anyone who would want to arrange that kind of thing over the phone anyway (I'd either do it online or go to a shop - surely a phonecall is the worst of both?). If they genuinely want to make me an offer, couldn't they send me a text or email and let me arrange it in my own time?

But then I feel curmudgeonly telling them no thanks, or I just feel like a prick if I try to interrogate them and find out what the catch is. And in any case I feel like I ought not miss out on random free stuff, y'know? So I get caught in indecision!

A guy from EE actually gave up and told me to call back when I made up my mind.

Is this just me?

Search Protect
Adware which is a banana split to remove. I've had to remove it from 3 PCs recently and it always does gooseberry fool things like self healing, not having a functional uninstaller and removing file permissions so even admins and spyware removers can't delete it and generally being a right old banana split.

Much worse when people leave their phone on their desk that are on loud and walk off leaving a phone ringing and ringing.

I used to share an office with a guy who did it and every time he came to his phone in bits

Oh god that^

If you're in an office, put your phone on silent. If it's in front of you the whole time then why do you need a noise to tell you something is happening?!

I hate when you wake up before your alarm, and when you go shave/brush teeth the alarm goes off waking everyone else up.

no, most people just hang up though. Direct sales tactics are actually going strong because digital marketing is either impenetrable or businesses don't understand it. Not going to go away any time soon, especially when everyone has a mobile phone and it doesn't have to go through your mum/dad/girlfriend

Try KillBox if it's still around

O2 (and Tmobile before) never called me. If I got called by the network I'm already on with sales pitches I would tell them to get stuffed otherwise I'll leave them. :x

I used a combination of Spybot Search & Destroy and Revo Uninstaller Pro along with some playing around with file permissions :dread:

The fact only girls get to wear skirts. My balls are sweating here. I bet if I was wearing a cotton skirt my balls would be so comfortable. Until someone kicked me in them.

Imagine if men could wear skirts instead of women. They're designed for our external genitalia.
