Lloyds Bank.

Need to transfer some money from my saver account into my main, but won’t let me do it online or via the app.
It tells me to ring a number or go to my local branch.

What’s the strawberry floating point of online banking / using an app when you won’t let me transfer my money. Are you some sort of morons?.

I aren’t heading into strawberry floating town just too move £300, I’ll have to drive / get a lift tomorrow. I aren’t ringing a strawberry floating number just to listen to some drunk who’s been out on all night bender for 30 minutes asking me security questions only to tell me I need to go the local branch again.

You lot strawberry floating suck. You really do.

On the subject of banks, NatWest. They moved me from a Silver to a Platinum account without my say so, and charged me the £20 monthly fee for the privilege. When I called them about it, they told me I had to go online and apply to move back to Silver myself, and submit a complaint form to get the money back.

It's your fault! You did it, so you fix it! :x

Every time I switch on my Xbox there are messages on the dashboard about Game Pass that say "Your membership is expiring. Renew now".

I'm paid up until October 2021. strawberry float off.

Speak with Photek about that, he's our forum Game Pass rep.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Trying to order something from the Argos website.

You add something to your trolley, and then go to the checkout. I note the text with a big tick saying 'FREE Store Collection' and 'Home Delivery from £3.95'. A bit expensive, but good to know.

You're then asked to enter your town or postcode to check stock. So I enter my town.

"Are you sure this postcode is correct?"

Well, no, because I entered a town name like you suggested. But okay, I'll use my postcode.

"This item is unavailable for delivery"

But hang on, before you told me that delivery was available from £3.95 - you're happy for me to go to a local shop and pick up the item, but for some reason you're unwilling to deliver it. If it's in stock in a shop, why can't I get it delivered? Why are some items available for delivery and not others? Why tell me I can get something delivered and then tell me I can't?

It's such a weird system. It's the same on their eBay page - lots of items available for click and collect, but they refuse to deliver. Way to do yourself out of a sale.

Future Publishing's suscription websites have turned into a complete shambles. They've recently merged MagazinesDirect with MyMagazine and MyFavouriteMagazines and their customer service is nonexistent. I haven't received magazines I ordered since June (according to their old website they weren't even dispatched). You email and you either get no response at all or a standardised reply weeks later that bears no correlation to what your problem is. Phone lines don't pick up or just hang up on you (charming!). It's so bad even Jack Dee (comedian) has complained about it on Twitter.

I've begrudgingly resorted to putting in two PayPal refund requests.

Choosing to overhaul their subscription websites when they were struggling before has all the hallmarks of a fantastically stupid decision from upper management.

I only ever had to deal with Future Publishing for a subscription twice. Once to sub to ONM, and once to cancel when ONM was shuttered. Both times were fine. Seems like over the years since that time, they've been trying to keep everything together and making worse decisions thanks to it. Trying to expand too quickly to stay relevant and messing everything up.

I've used the subs dating back to 95 and never really had a problem. Things began to go awry during Covid-19 when they closed their customer service, and has only become worse since they moved everything from MyFavouriteMagazines to MagazinesDirect. A big system move is a pain in the arse at the best of times. To do it during a pandemic when they are already operating on skeleton staff is batshit.

They recently bought up so many magazines that they've probably now inundated themselves with a load of complaints and refunds.

The sheer number of complaints about MagazinesDirect everywhere online is now quite ridiculous:

Are Future trying to speed up the cancellation of their mags... :fp:

The extortionate cost of dental treatment. Even with some coverage from the basic private plan offered by my work I'm still looking at being £1,000 out of pocket for what I need to have done.

I can recommend a cheaper alternative...

People at work that send instant messages but don't get to the point straight away. So many just send:

"Hi"

Which then forces me to say "hi" and wait for them to type out the question they have.

It's a small thing, but drives me crazy.

It's to make sure you're actually at your desk. If you don't reply, they know to ask someone else rather than typing out the whole question, waiting, not getting an answer, and having to go through the whole process with someone else.

And then you get a reply from the second or third person you asked, and later also get replies from the people you asked who weren't at their desks at the time.

Which means you've had x number of people finding and sending an answer to your question, instead of just one. When you could have just said hi.

That might be the case sometimes, but usually they want something specific that only I can answer.

Better to make sure you're actually there then, no?

I see where you're coming from, though. When I need to ask someone a question I usually ask in the first message. They'll get it when they get it.
