I'll definitely give this a go. Small price to pay for taking the annoyance out of the task.

I actually like doing the bulk out of it, large surfaces and that. Just the edges make me question my sanity.

Speaking as a painter with a veerrry steady hand. It's not even worth the satisfaction doing free hand cutting in. You're impressing nobody :lol:

You need the right brushes for that as well. Otherwise you might as well be painting with a sponge.

Especially when all your next of kin does is whinge about that bit you still haven't done.

Sure professionally skill is just faster but there's a reason that gooseberry fool exists and it's just less stressful. If you mask stuff up properly you can pretty much spam paint wherever and still get a good finish.

Whatever you do though don't use like corner shop masking tape stuff. Just falls off and tears like crazy. No real edge. I've literally banned cheap school style supplies from my sign shop that my partner brings home from work. I know I'll end up using it to secure rolls of vinyl, paper, bits and bobs, paint masking... Fails every time. Ugh.

Tessa is a very good brand that shouldn't be ultra expensive.

Don't cheap out on tape. Or cables.

While we're talking quality contact adhesives... Cheap post it notes. Curling off and falling of things.

Has anyone seen that scene in The Good Wife where the dead woman has marked all of her inheritable things with post it notes and they've fallen off :lol:

My wife and I painted our living/dining area and bedroom last year and it was easy. We did a really good job too.

I'm going to be painting my kitchen next, so the tape will be getting bought for that.

Memes are essentially the cultural arse end of digital culture and that happens because they are so easy to conceive; just writing a bad typo can begin a meme. The Internet is the catalyst. Basically you get low effort art with a low effort distribution and all the good and bad that comes with that.
