Also annoying me…we’ve had a new colleague recently join the company. She’s from Australia, and boy, does she like to remind us of that at every opportunity.

She just goes on and on. Everything is better in Australia, apparently, and it seems she’s determined to ram that point home.

Just start replying with "yeah, I really can't believe we sent convicts and the worst of our society, your relatives, to such a nice place"

Had something similar recently where we went out for a meal, and the waitress decided to tell us she's Italian at every single pportunity.

And so on and so on. She was nice enough, but just wouldn't stop with the Italian stuff.

Pre-ordered Addams Family Values on blu ray with them, as HMV didn't have it in their online store, but when the day of release arrived, i got an email saying my item had been delayed, and now i get a further message saying to expect it in 2-5 weeks.

What's the point in pre-ordering an item when the delivery time is 2-5 strawberry floating weeks after release? Absolute shite!

Really dislike these supermarket adverts where there's your average UK family (always look like dickheads, even the kids) talking about how now they shop at Aldi they can afford to upgrade their shitty people carrier or something. It's just so obviously scripted but it's portrayed like they're just being honest regular people and I HATE IT

Sinks where the tap barely reaches past the rim of the bowl.

Makes it insanely difficult to wash your hands when the faucet is about half an inch past the rim of the sink bowl, so trying to get your hands under the flow of water results in you just rubbing the back of your hand up against the side, whilst the rest of the bowl is completely useless.

Painting my mum's kitchen for the last two days, probably have another two days of it. It's probably the most difficult paint job I've ever done. The walls are total gooseberry fool in places. I have a fourth (!) coat to do tomorrow, plus a feature wall. Really annoying.

On the subject of Aldi, I hate it. The store isn’t nearly big enough for the number of customers, so you’re forever squeezing your way past people, and they always seem to be sold out of the stuff you want anyway. Plus they have that aisle in the middle that takes up loads of space and sells random crap nobody wants.

Then when you get the queue it’s impossible to plan which is the best one to join because they’re randomly opening and shutting tills like no tomorrow, which really strawberry floats with my british queue planning sensibilities.

Then when you finally get to the checkout, the person on the till has been training for months in the Himalayas to perfect the art of scanning a 2 week food shop in 5.8 seconds, leaving you frantically trying to load it all in bags and pay for it.

It is pretty cheap though I’ll give them that.

I love Aldi, if I could strawberry float a shop then it would be Aldi. :datass:

You're not supposed to bag stuff at the till you just put it back in your trolley and take it over to the bagging area at the side. Helps keep things moving quickly. If you're an Aldi ninja like myself then you can manage to bag it even whilst they are scanning it at full pace :datass:

The worst part about those adverts is that their comparison shop is a full brand shop at Tesco compared to their own brand Aldi shop. :fp:

And they only reference this in the smallest of text at the bottom. So all the strawberry floating idiots are going out saying “Aldi is £21 a shop cheaper than Tesco! I’ll have my luxury speedboat in no time LOL”

Every time I go to Aldi I’m pretty sure I give up about 2 weeks of my life from the stress.

Also, no ducking way us it cheaper, the packs are all different sizes and half of what I want isn’t there, but everything I’ve ever bought near enough is a comparable price when you factor in weight or whatever.

The ill crew are out in force at the moment. Coughing, sniffing, huffing, sighing, pacing around telling everyone and anyone how bad they feel. One person who never comes in to this office came in just to say how ill has feeling, and when told to strawberry float off back to the other room, said, "Well if I've got it, you can have it too".
