I'm way too sensitive to loud noises. Even unexpected ones. I don't think I'd have managed long on that call either. Can't blame you for getting out of it.

Getting fed up with the fact that during this lockdown, very few people appear to be capable of filming their videos in landscape mode rather than portrait.

I know this is something that has always been a thing, but nowadays it means we have to put up with this silliness on TV ads and the news too!

Does my head in, it’s a thing I liked about windows phone when you went to record a video if you were in portrait it would do a “rotate your phone to landscape” animation to try and correct people.

The TV ads are definitely getting to me, particularly the ones set up like a video conference. I'm sure these people are just employees and not actual actors, but strawberry floating hell, can nobody make a line read sound like a natural conversation?

As someone involved with marketing before honestly I find it very funny seeing how businesses are trying to appear relevant when all it comes down to 100% of the time is we want more of your money.

One of the few benefits I enjoy of sole trading is that me and my business are legally the same entity, so I can still be a righteous little sod about capitalism at large. On the down side, someone can sue me because their child ate a T-shirt and I'd be bankrupted before I saw a penny in profit.

Price, discount, sale or whatever stickers on products that don’t easily come off.

It discusses how huge amounts of pointless bloat used only to track and advertise to you causes everything you do online to be slower.

How does this work when you encounter websites that detect adblockers and hide their content? In a browser based blocker, you can temporarily deactivate it and refresh, but with this, do you need to disconnect the pi and reset all your network set up?

Pihole has a button to temporarily disable it for 30 second or 5 minutes etc in its GUI.
