When someone asks you to change a document, but doesn't give you the information to change.

"Hi Ad, please change document X"

"What needs changing?"

"Some of the values are wrong"

"Which ones?"

"They're in another manual"

"Which manual?"

....... "please change the values I'm getting pressured here"

"Ok but I don't have any of the information I need"

......." can you just please change the values?!"

Ok, this value is now 10 million, this one is 3 and the final one is now pi to 30 decimal place.

Just do a CTRL-F to search for any numbers and randomly change them all, job done!

I like the way Victor's coworker has just pivoted immediately to the 'he must be taking the piss' stance of pleading.

HMRC. They make it so hard to find information and report tax charges that it feels like the strawberry floating banana splits don't actually want anybody to pay tax.

Windows 10 searching across a network. How can this be so monumentally gooseberry fool?

I've been asked to update something, which I've found, but I'm pretty sure there's a version created much later that supersedes it. I move up two levels, put the code of the very document I've just been looking at, and 5 solid minutes later it draws a blank on the search. I've just looked at it for strawberry float sake.

Tell your colleagues to stop putting gooseberry fool in 500 subfolders and maybe the search wouldn't be so bad.

Wouldn't make a difference.

By default windows 10 finds the attributes of all files (total files, total size etc) before displaying the results which is why its strawberry floating slow it can do the same when navigating a shared drive too thats not a drive mapping.

Its configurable via the registry.

Centrum. What a scummy brand this is. I bought some for my Mum, not cheap at around £6 even on promotion, but here I am thinking I'm doing some good, and afterwards I checked the ingredient list and not only is the vitamin content lower than a considerably smaller supermarket pill, it's laced with crap. Talc. strawberry floating TALC. Colurants. Preservatives. Gelatin. You name it, they've used it to bulk it into this large purple pill.

There are some wasps nesting in part of the garden and we want to get rid, but the council aren't doing it at the mo because covid, another company is 3 times the price plus travel and the one that was only twice the council rate didn't turn up today when they were supposed to. I'll give them a call tomorrow and be polite but vexxed.

Improvised flamethrower.

Hit the nest with a bat, the wasps will respect your authority and move on fast.
