Bixby is such a pile of gooseberry fool

Samsung bloatware is the worst. I'm not convinced anyone anywhere in the world actually uses Bixby.

Now, have you managed to remove Samsung Free? If so, help a fellow out?

The playing of excessively loud, high intensity gooseberry fool music in gyms. People go to the gyms for different reasons and with different goals, for many its for holistic reasons not just solely physical reasons - don't play music, let us listen to our own music with headphones if we want to. DJ nights in gyms - just 'f-right off!

How about if they played just 80's power ballads?

It does amaze me just how slowly cinema queues can move. A few times back we decided to get a milk shake to take in, and we were the first in line yet somehow the whole process took nearly 10 minutes. They were moving in slow motion, to the point we were going to just tell them not to bother.

The other bad thing is people who wait in the queue for ages, but then only start thinking about what they want when it's their turn.

"Yes hello, what can I get you"

*man looks caught off guard* "ooh, erm. Errrrrrrrr. I er, um. Babe. BABE! What dya want? Hot dog? HOT DOG? What about Callum? Pop corn? Shall I just get a large? SHALL, SHALL I, COME HERE A MINUTE, COME HERE. Shall we just get a large? Well what do you want then? No I've got a hot dog coming. You want one too? I thought Callum wanted pop corn."

My local odeon has a thing where you can "order ahead" your snacks on the app, but they still just make it when you arrive, and they scan a qr off your phone. So you're only saving a very small amount of time.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Netflix's new imbalanced rating system. You have the option of one or two thumbs up, to differentiate between stuff you like a bit or really like, but only one thumbs down for anything you dislike.

I much preferred when they had a 5 star system, as I could rate stuff according to how I felt about it, 1 star for actually hated it, 2 for disliked it, 3 for indifferent, 4 for liked it and 5 for loved it. I could handle the switch to a straight thumbs up or thumbs down model, although I did miss the ability to differentiate between stuff I enjoyed and stuff I thought was actually great, and likewise for stuff I dislike.

But what's the point of having 2 levels of positive responses, and one for negative, and no way of indicating no feeling either way?

It also means everything I rated as thumbs up when there was just the binary like dislike system, is now recorded as 1 thumbs up, even if I would have liked to have rated it higher at the time.

Our GP and trying to book a sodding appointment.

Went into the practice last week and asked at reception to book a appointment. "Sorry we've not got any today." I didn't expect they did so asked for one in the future. "Sorry you've got to call up at 8.30am to try and either get an appontment for that day or book one for 2 weeks time." Asked whether I could just book one for 2 weeks time or whenever the next available one is. "Sorry all the ones for 2 weeks are taken, we only open new ones up for 2 weeks time each day so you need to call at 8.30am...." :fp:

So 8.30 this morning, they only have one line and it's constantly engaged finally managed to get through this morning after 43 attempts and I've got one for this afternoon.

It shouldn't be that hard to book a sodding appointment, even if it meant getting one for three weeks time.

I went through the exact same problem with the same issues recently with my GP. It's unfuriating.

Very happy that mine has an online booking system. They still only release them at 8am for that day but its much easier than having to ring.

They're all telephone appointments with the doctor, for that morning. If they decide you need to come in after the call they'll get you in that day. It's pretty efficient.
