Had the classic "car goes in to the garage with one problem and they find a million other issues with it" scenario today. :dread:

Also looks like our house might be suffering from subsidence as well. :(

Seriously 2020, strawberry float off.

People who continuously HOLD their car horn for 20+ seconds in a jam. Repeatedly. For over 15 minutes.

Shut the strawberry float up you banana split, everyone in the street can hear you and nobody gives a strawberry float if you're late for your shitty little appointment which is one occurrence in all of the strawberry floating universe. Live another day Jesus Christ you strawberry float.

Felt like leaving the house and telling them to strawberry float off so I didn't have to abide that gooseberry fool for another half hour.

Didn't you move recently/shouldn't surveyor have picked that up? Got a claim?

Survey thought the house was in decent condition, just standard wear and tear for the age of the house. There had been zero signs of any possible issue until very recently as well so I don't think they could have picked up on it at the time.

Going to get it properly evaluated and then see what our building insurance will cover. :dread:

How can you be sure? Have large cracks started to appear or something?

I have cracks in my house, but they've not changed in shape/size since i moved in over a decade ago.

Yeah it’s not a new house (about 50 years old) and new cracks have started to appear which is troubling. Settling in cracks in new houses are not unusual and cracks that have been around for a long time without growing are not a cause for concern. But for a relatively old house to suddenly start developing a series of cracks, along with the shape and location of those cracks... it’s troubling basically.

Subsidence depends a lot on your property's location. Where abouts in Exeter is your house?

- When a customer places their money down on the side, rather than handing it to you.
- When a customer gets impatient. I do have other people to serve you know...
- When a customer says 'The customer is always right'. Nope.
- When a customer enters the shop. Yeah, I just wanna be lazy. So overall, the most annoying thing...

Customers.

- When a shop assistant slaps change on the counter instead of in your hand.
- When a shop assistant gets impatient when you take too long to pack your goods.
- When a shop assistant is just generally surly and abrasive.
- When you go to pay for your goods with said staff, so overall, the most annoying thing...

Grumpy Shop Assistants.

I prefer if they're grumpy, I can't believe anyone enjoys working retail so at least this way everyone is being honest
