I've had the week off work, I've had a wonderful time meeting with friends and relaxing. I've got tickets to the big match later today.

So why am I annoyed?

I've got that Sunday night blues already. I feel like I'm 11 and hearing the end credits to The Antiques Roadshow in my parents' living room.

I used to passionately hate everything about Sunday afternoon/evening TV. Antiques Roadshow, Last of the Summer Wine, Songs of Praise, Bullseye, The Bill, Masterchef, the Eastenders omnibus, repeats of George and Mildred, miserable weather...

If you were unfortunate enough to turn the TV on too early on a Saturday you also had the Allo, Allo/Dad’s Army/Hi De Hi rota the BBC used to cycle through prior to stuff like House Party.

Sunday night TV is still often a cure for insomnia.

My sister always moans when Countryfile is on, so when we went to BBC Bristol on a tour, i told the staff there that her fave show is Countryfile (i got a bollocking later on for that).

When someone drops a bomb in the work toilet.

It's been twenty minutes and I swear I can still smell gooseberry fool in my nostrils. :dread:

Where else would you smell it?

Well I have to believe the particles are trapped in my nostrils and not on my clothes for other people to smell.
