Oops. Was sure those two letters were the other way around before I hit submit.

That accident clearly cost me some clout among the big league Wordle players.

Started playing Wordle yesterday and it's okay. Isn't good enough to deserve all the attention it's getting but it's an okay way to kill two minutes.

My local GP surgery.

Just once, it would be nice to have to go to them and not be met by a wall of incompetence, unanswered phones, silence (they say they'll be in touch, and every time, nothing!), and enough red tape to seal off the eiffel tower.

Since we're talking GPs:

I went to order my repeat prescription online only to be told I couldn't because I needed to speak to my GP to review my medication. Fine. I phone up and explain that the website told me I needed to speak to a doctor to authorise my medication, the earliest pre-bookable appointment is in 3 weeks but I can try phoning first thing the next day for a same day appointment. Fine. I get up early, spend 45 minutes trying to get through, losing all hope that I'll actually get to speak to my own GP. I get through and the receptionist said "oh, you don't need to speak to a GP, I can just authorise that for you". I'm grateful and everything but why couldn't they have just done that the day before when I called?

I've had similar issues with prescriptions, possiby the same GP practice actually as you're in the Chesterfield area too.
