Apple, strawberry floating apple and their gooseberry fool ecosystem! :x

I have never had so much trouble with any equipment as I have with apple gooseberry fool. It's insane how anyone gets on with this crap.

Latest epic failure - "approving" a device. Trying to set up my old iPad as a new device so one of the kids can use it for school work, so factory reset it so that I can only install the apps they need, lock down settings etc. After spending strawberry floating ages convincing the bloody thing to let me reset it I finally get to a fresh install and am now trying to sign in to iCloud and just get a screen saying "Approve this iPad" and telling me to go to another device to approve this new one... but there are no strawberry floating instructions on what that actually requires and no messages on any other devices to click approve on. :fp:

Apple, it just works!

That's pretty much why I won't ever buy any of their products.

That so many things on Amazon Prime Video don't have subtitles.

Whilst I'm working or playing games on my PC I'll often have the TV on for background, but when I'm playing PC games I wear a headset for sound rather than use speakers, and it can be good to glance over at the TV and be able to have subtitles to at least partly keep up with what's going on. With Netflix and Disney+ content this is no problem, but a huge portion of the stuff on Prime Video have no subtitles available.

Worst thing I found was the Rammstein documentary. They only had subtitles for the first bit. There's a decent chunk of film after the credits but Amazon has no subtitles for that portion

I bought a new keyboard, Gateron red switches and some cheap caps. I have the switches and caps, no strawberry floating sign of the keyboard. It was due to be received last Wednesday. I got the tracking on Thursday which stated it would be with me on Friday 17th, DPD have only received it yesterday so it will be Monday... if I am lucky.

steam big picture: apparently if you look at your dlc, click A (xbox controller) it uninstalls the DLC with no warning and you have to redownload it if you want to play the game.
just accidentally did this and now i have to wait 1 hr before i can play Dark Souls 3.
what the strawberry float is this? :|

Equally as annoying is that some PC gamepass games seem to hide themselves from task manager while running, meaning I can't use the onscreen controller I use to play them (it has to be setup for each game by navigating a dropdown list of running applications and choosing the one you want to control but it doesn't seem to detect any Microsoft Studios game).

I was going to try playing Forza Horizon 4 but as its 75Gb I don't really want to waste my time waiting for it to download if I won't be able to play it.

People on the work instant messenger, who take hours to reply to any messages. The whole point is it's quicker and more direct than email, if you're going to just ignore any messages then turn the strawberry floating thing off.

Or when they bombard you with messages when your status is Busy or Presenting.

Hello?
I can call you if it's easier?
I just need a quick response.
Can you let me know?

Yes I'm just in the middle of presenting FFS, like it says right there on the damn screen, give it a strawberry floating rest! :fp: :x

People who treat email like IM are even worse.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:
