What are you planning to do with an off angle shot of Starry Night exactly?

Part 2 - Parents who take their three year old to a William Blake exhibition so they can scream their heads off and just be annoying.

Are you not a Lib Dem fan?

I'm indifferent towards them, but I'd prefer not to receive communications from any political party, let alone once I've explicitly opted-out of hearing from.

A morning for the ages here, Ad would have exploded and not in a good way. Almost a full hour of hearing about how little Timmy was unwell during the night, how he pissed everywhere when in the middle of having his nappy changed, then immediately going for a number two prompting a further nappy change.

Corporate bullshit.

By that I mean townhall meetings, off-site company meetings, team building activities, training sessions on topics like 'leadership' or 'working as part of a team', etc. My place (and the whole sector I work in, thinking about it) loves all this bollocks, and it does my head in. It's such a monumental waste of time, money, and I rarely - if ever - get anything positive from them. They just waste my time and drain my motivation.

This week's a classic. You know September, that month of the year that's pretty much the busiest, with everybody back from their summer breaks, preparing budgets for next year, preparing for the final quarter's activities and just trying to do their day job? Yeah, let's take everybody away for 3 days to a hotel in the middle of nowhere and talk shite at them for hours on end. That'll really help them. :fp:

You’re just not thinking outside of the box. Touch base with your workmates and start singing from the same hymn sheet so you can synergise.

Sounds like one (or more) of the following extremely cynical things have happened:

A: Someone spent an egregious amount on a consultant firm who told them this kind of thing really works, and is doubling down on it as part of a sunk-cost fallacy to avoid admitting they got ripped off.
B: Someone in HR is gunning for promotions so needs to show they've done leadership events and all that.
C: Its cover for the bosses to knob their secretaries far away from prying eyes.

Driving at any point during the working day. The roads seem to be almost entirely populated either by people who drive for a living and therefore race around at top speed (understandable when you have to make 300 deliveries a day in order to get paid) and OAPs shuffling around at 20mph in a Honda Jazz. It infuriating either been driven insane stuck behind someone or driven off the road by a lunatic.

"Have you just finished your deliveroo round? You look like deliveroo!"

AHAHAHAAAAAAHHAHHAHAHAA IVE NEVER HEARD THAT BEFORE AHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHA

Also, I'm impressed I've managed to look like 'deliveroo' as in the whole organisation and not a 'deliveroo employee'.

I bought a new pair of trainers and they are taking a while to break in. My left heel is shredded, it's annoying as hell.

Deliveries that turn up outside of the requested time (DHL 9:30am is not 11am to 3pm) so I now have to wait another strawberry floating day to get what I ordered as I was at my doctors.

People who don't indicate as early as they could.

The number of times I'm sat at a strawberry floating T-junction and think "oh I can't pull out now because that guy is coming straight on" and so sit there waiting for the next gap, the person then approaches and strawberry floating turns into the road where I am without indicating or turning their indicator on at the last minute... I COULD HAVE strawberry floating PULLED OUT AGES AGO IF YOU strawberry floating INDICATED YOU strawberry floating JIZZ COCK! :x

Hampshire is awful for that, as well as the opposite - people indicating and going the OTHER strawberry floating WAY. Once I was coming up to a roundabout and the person indicated left and then went right. Dafuq. There is also an epidemic of people leaving their indicators on - I was about to pull out from a junction as a land rover was indicating left, so I thought they were going to turn into the junction I was coming out of. Good job I didn't as they didn't seem to be slowing down, and just carried on straight, light blinking away.

One of the best lessons from my driving instructor was to assume that everyone else on the road is a complete idiot and that they will do the dumbest possible thing if given the chance, that way you are prepared/not surprised when that's exactly what they do.

There’s a girl at work who sits on the end of the bank of desks I am on. Whenever she wants to talk to the person opposite me, rather than walk around to that side, she instead stands almost directly behind me and bellows across.

strawberry floating walk 5 extra steps and go to the other side you fuckwit.

Sounds almost like the incident I heard from my dad yesterday. He was waiting to turn onto a main road, when a man walks in front of the car knocking on the bonnet wanting him to move back so he could cross the road. He then walks around to the driver's window and wants my dad to lower it. By that point, the man's already halfway across the road, so... why does he care about the car in the way, again? From what my dad said, it looked as though he'd had a few, even though this was only 15:00.

So be careful of drunks crossing the road, drivers. They might want a word about getting in their way.

Sounds like your dad should have stopped at the line rather than rolling over it into the crossing.

He was behind the line. He's a very safe driver. But the road he was pulling out of [which I should know 'cus he'd just dropped me off somewhere] has a wall and fence right up to the kerb on that side, meaning a person has to go around the front of a vehicle or wait for it to move on.
