Teams has become the brown-noser tool of choice at the moment because it is less direct and obvious but still visible to so many people.

Yep. Its like a real time version of LinkedIn comments :dread: .

*meeting is in progress and senior person says something about changing the title of a presentation*

Wonderful point well made Thomas! It's not often in our professional lives that these opportunities present themselves, so let's all embrace the change and turn this in to a positive action for the team!

*4 thumbs up notifications pop up*

Teams is largely unusable for me now - I've been added to so many groups and chats that the whole thing is just a wash with meaningless crap. Wall to wall messages of people just trying to get themselves seen by others, even the most well meaning of things that get posted take on an element of corrupt brown-nosing by virtue of the platform and its parasocial feedback mechanisms.

Self resurrecting notifications. Not sure when this started happening but it's really pissing me off now. So on my phone certain applications have decided to start trolling me with their notifications, I'll dismiss them and then a short time later the same strawberry floating notification will reappear. It's not triggered by any actual change or new event, it just comes back with exactly the same thing again! For example, I'll have a gmail notification which I dismiss and then it will reappear as if I've got a new email, but no it's just showing me the exact same one that I JUST strawberry floating DISMISSED! :x

I'm pretty heavy handed with blocking notifications, I blocked almost every single one from the Garmin app within about 20 minutes of installing it. Well annoying.

I've been trying for ages to find a reasonably priced (i.e. sub-£40) copy of a CD by a Japanese band called Who The Bitch, which is proving nigh impossible, because the album is called 'Music'. How do you even search for that? :fp: :slol:

Not sure if it ships internationally though.

Says it's not available for me, but I appreciate the effort.

EDIT- I changed the delivery to a JP post code and there's bunches available, so I guess they just don't ship internationally. :/

That might be a shout, cheers. I've used CDjapan before, but not their proxy service.

The proxy service fees and shipping bring it up to nearly £30, but that's the cheapest I've seen it so far. Might have to add a few other things to make it worth the order. :shifty:

Everything else I wanted was out of stock on CDJapan, so I went with HMV.

Much obliged, gang.

No worries, I know how much of a pain it can be getting Japanese CDs sometimes. Last time I was over there I stocked up on a lot of albums...had to make it worth my while while I was out there

It’s just a shame that physical media is still the only
way we have to listen to music

Grateful as I'm sure they are for the 0.00001p they get for each of my streams, I just like to collect the CDs for albums I'm big into.

Sarky git ;)
