tbh I read that as some kind of unprecedented astronomical phenomenon.

The updated loading/logo sequence for Disney+.

It used to be a cool dark background with a little moving point that created the + symbol. Looked slick.

Now it's a cyan background with the logo zooming in. I don't like it.

Might cancel my sub because of this :x .

Family/friends/people telling me and my wife to have children when we don't want them really winds me up. I wish people would just except it and get over it or feel free not to say anything.

Bumped into an old friend on Saturday who asked if I had children and said I don't and was immediately told to 'step up'.
Language like that is so toxic for many reason and for all he knew we can't have children and something like that could be really triggering.
It's not the first time I have had this and it must be 100 times worst when women get this inquisition.

The other one was my Mum repeated telling me that children bring you so much joy. Yes Mum and so does being able to do what I want when I want.

If she brings it up again I'll get really angry with her.

Totally agree about this being toxic.

I'd honestly make people feel bad and say something along the lines of "unfortunately, we can't". They don't need to know the reason why you can't is because you don't want to....

We don't want kids either.

We also get asked about kids a lot. My partner gets quite annoyed by it. I don't really give a gooseberry fool.

Totally agree with the 'women get it 100 times worse' observation. She's had people say some horrendous things to her about it.

I want to say that but my wife won't let me and I wouldn't want to be seen saying something serious like that if it's not true but believe me it is tempting.

When we've been asked, I've just said I don't like kids (which is the truth). I've never wanted kids, my wife has never wanted kids, I find them kmtemsly annoying after a few minutes. If someone is being a dick about it (I've had someone say it's my duty to populate the earth and it's people "like you" causing population decline), I'll tell them I'm infertile. If someone is REALLY being a cock about it, I tell them in a paedophile and I'm not allowed near kids. That's the nuclear option but it soon shuts them the strawberry float up.

My Mum couldn't fathom that I find children boring. Baby's just bore me and then they start walking etc and it's just constant keeping them entertained with banal boring stuff. No thanks.

When I visit my friends who have kids I will always play with the kids etc and not be a dick, I like to show respect and support for them as well as I think these things work both ways but at least I get to go home and relax after.

The last several years, seeing my niece and nephew typically every week since birth, I have discovered an understanding which I never had before. I don't ever see myself having kids, especially not now I'm approaching my late 40s, but it's not a mystery to me any more. Being a very active uncle, you almost become slightly parental to some extent.

If things had gone differently, I probably could have been a good dad I think. I don't feel down about it though, I've been happy to experience a hint of what it's like. I know I'd do anything for the two of them, no matter what.
