I played Fortnite 3 times ever and finished 8th, 3rd and 1st. Wouldn't have given it up if I knew there was an easy mill on the table. :x

Ok we're cool. I'll try to be less defensive. But I'm not very well at the moment so apologies if I get stressed out.

Mollie King on Radio 1, she is not funny and very annoying, it’s bad enough she is there on Fridays but to appear on other days just starts your day off on a downer.

Radio 1 in general annoys me, everything about it is just awful.

My brother used to put Radio 1 on of a sunday morning when we were headed to the race tracks.

The music was generally terrible, the presenter was really annoying, and you kept getting random bores ringing in from a northern city (always northern for some reason) and telling listeners what stupid drunken bollocks they got up to the previous night.

I don't listen to Radio 1 anymore.

KFC!

The chicken is still good (although so bad for you) but what the hell have they done to their chips! They're AWFUL.

They were already pretty much the worst of the big fast food stuff, but now they're just dire. Limp, large and soggy :(

Royal Mail/parcel force. Sold a boardgame on eBay, nipped in to post it, now it turns out anything over 2kg costs SEVENTEEN mummy strawberry floating POUNDS to send. In hindsight I should have taken it back and refunded the seller but for some reason I posted it as I wouldn't have time to organise something else. When the strawberry float did that happen? It used to be a fiver or something for larger parcels. strawberry float that then, I've pulled everything off eBay because between paying that for something i sold for £25 and having to refund a game for having a cracked disc I'm pretty sure I'm at a net loss at this point.

Also in my town the bit of the post office for sending things has moved 7 minutes away to the wh Smith's while the bit for collecting missed parcels hasn't, so now you can't pick something up and send something at the same time

Seventeen quid :o . That surprised me, Trelliz. Looking at the Post Office cost chart, the parcel must have been over 5kg?

It was just over 2, but looking at the receipt it's some express24 shipping or something, so I assume it's a racket by RM and parcel force to make loads of money off people. strawberry float that noise, I've stuffed my eBay pile and packaging in the spare room until I can be arsed to look at it again and pulled all my listings.

It's been like that around here since the 90's.

They seem to have a huge jump between "small" and "medium" packages now. I took a parcel earlier and it was 2.02kg, I was quoted £13 as the cheapest option, but the cut off was 2kg. Took it home, trimmed down the packaging a bit, took it back and it was 4 quid

I know it's no use to you now, but if you have a similar situation in future, consider Hermes. Their base rate for 2-10kg packages is £5.99 (there is a size limit though) and for about £8, I got signed for and collected.

I do a fair bit of eCommerce. With the heavier items you probably want to go with ParcelForce 48 because it's actually cheaper than Royal Mail's standard parcels service for heavier things. It's stupid but in some cases ParcelForce (which is part of the Royal Mail Group) is cheaper than Royal Mail

They have made some of the lighter options (I'm talking large letter around 250g and airmail DL envelope 25-100g) a bit cheaper, they are shifting things around to accommodate the most frequently shipped items. But for larger or heavier items you probably want to look at other options. It's probably a combination of the shape and the weight. The weight doesn't matter so much as the size, but size + weight = stupid expensive. They're probably looking at average weight of things and so over a certain weight threshold the costs go up dramatically.

A long flat thing for example is probably more expensive than something twice the weight but more of a cube in size. If anything isn't a standard small parcel or smaller you probably want to double check it. I most frequently get stung when delivering last minute made-to-order stuff, I say "Oh I'll throw in special delivery for you to make sure it gets to you" and it's stupid expensive for even a small thing and nicks my profit more than I'm comfortable with.

If it was eBay you can check the shipping through them while creating the listing to get ahead of it I think.

I always use Hermes via the eBay Shutl setup, prices are very reasonable and not had a single issue with delivery which is good.

People who say "Quad Bike".
It's a Quad.
If it was a 'Quad Bike' it'd have six strawberry floating wheels.
Retards.

I've never really thought about this, and I would call it a quad bike. But you've really opened my eyes to the contradiction in terms there.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

What

They’re called quad bikes because the design is a motorbike with 4 wheels.

No he's right! A bi-cycle has two wheels, that's why it's "bi"-cycle. They should be called Motorquadcycles.

I guess the didn't like the name quadcycle.

I've never heard a Motorbike called a motor bicycle. Motor Bike and Motorcycle, but not Motor Bicycle.
