Same. It was pretty much Britpop as the only modern music I liked, and all my other stuff was from the 60s and 70s

There is good pop music and bad pop music, just like any other genre of music

Again, the same could be said of most chart toppers throughout history.

There's a reason Out Of Time by Hall & Oates still gets played and itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini doesn't, really. I haven't heard this tune he's talking about but it sounds like the kind of thing that will be forgotten about in a year.

Let's not jump to conclusions, maybe he's a Norwich fan?

Yeah. With all genres (rock, jazz, blues etc), I'd go as far as saying there's way more bad music than there is good music.

There is some really excellent Pop out there.

I quite like that Blinded By The Lights song by The Weeknd, but that may be because it sounds so very 80s.

It's not really possible to define good or bad music. Nobody can ever agree on if something is good or bad. Are Oasis better than S Club 7? There'd be a lot of people that would argue "Oasis are just a Beatles tribute, I'd much prefer reaching for the stars!".

That's not a bad tune. Decent bass line.

Blur and Radiohead, my two favourite bands, together at last.
