The foil seal on milk tops that don’t come off properly so leave remnants of foil on the rim.

Why they ever got rid of the plastic method from around the lid I do not know.

It might last longer as well. In my experience the cheap brand pints from the corner shop have the lid pull tab, the filtered 7 day freshness milk has the foil seal.

Yet another reason why i don't use it.

I culled a lot of my twitter follows recently, because the vast amount of them were reactionary banana splits. I have enough negativity in my life, I don't need to read anymore.

Forums could be considered a form of social media. Except they are still about the community, unlike what the major players now seem to have become.

The lack of a personalised newsfeed is the real differentiator I think. The "bubble" on GRcade is the site and overall userbase itself, rather than an algorithmic bubble that's impossible to measure or understand. You can also choose what content to read and engage with by choosing which threads to read into.

Chronological replies rather than upvoting also helps against hive-mind consensus and works better at encouraging conversation and debate.

Basically we're just better 8-)

I think the main difference is the main social media sites are about you and if we're honest, showing off. Whereas forums and Reddit are anonymous and more about contributing to the community.

Wouldn't surprise me if GRcadios cereal ended up on the store at some point.
