They don't properly lay their address out either, and write their postcode without a space. On occasion when I've been unfamiliar with the location I've had to google it to know where to line break.

The drainpipe from the bathroom was blocked, so I had a look at it just now. Turns out there was a bolus of hair and soap etc stuck in the bottom of the pipe, but the pipe was flush with the grate below so to my mind I couldn't get at it to clear it. I go back in to have a think/Google and my wife and in-laws come back from taking the boy for a walk. I start to explain the situation and my MIL pipes up:
"You can take the grate out!"
"I can't because the pipe's blocking-"
"No it's not stuck down it just comes out!"
"I know it's not stuck down but there's a twelve foot pipe on top of-"
"But you can just pull it out from underneath!"
"I can't pull it out because there's no space to pull-"
"But the grate comes out!"

NO IT strawberry floating DOESN'T THERE ARE TWO PIPES IN THE strawberry floating WAY AND EVEN WHEN YOUR HUSBAND WORKED OUT WHAT I NEEDED TO DO THE GRATE STAYED WHERE IT strawberry floating WAS. ARRGH!

Heard a lot about this Skint Britain: Friends Without Benefits documentary that aired on Channel 4 last night, but can I watch it on-demand via the website? Nope. Bravia? Nope. Sky Go? Nope. Sign in to the C4 app on PS4 Pro. But the app is hopelessly bad and the video just won’t play properly (loads about 3 seconds of video at a time in silence and then stops). Restart video but of course you’ve then got to sit through the adverts every time only to reveal that it still doesn’t work.

I can see why ‘the youth’ aren’t watching as much content from the terrestrial providers any more, the on-demand offerings from the B channels is the complete gooseberry fools. These strawberry floaters are just killing themselves dead. See also the ITV Hub.

I can't watch anything on C4's site, I keep getting an error message saying my connection isn't fast enough - my average speed is around 50Mb/s and have no trouble streaming 4k content on Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Channel 4 on demand is utterly terrible. The Adverts never have a problem loading, they load instantly in the highest quality. Then when it tries to load the content it will fail about 50% of the time and just crash out.

It's funny cos the ads are hosted on mega CDNs paid for by the advertisers whereas C4 are like lol what is bandwidth

It is annoying when it really does become the only thing that some people talk about. Do they have no other interests or aspects to their personality other than their love of this one sport?!

As a sport it seems to attract an alarming number of armchair experts as well - so many people seem to genuinely believe that they know better than the players/managers/pundits etc. and strawberry float me do they ever want to tell you about it. :dread:

I love when someone asks if you "saw that ludicrous display last night?", you reply with "No I dont watch soccer at all, I have no interest in it", yet they continue to talk about it in great detail. There is usually a momentary pause where you can see their brain process it, not understand and then continue on with the pre programmed response anyway.

There's a customer who does this. All. The. Time. I tell him I don't like football and that is irrelevant. It's not enough that he continues with his spiel, he still asks opinions. And it's not just football. Robot wars, Pokemon Go, a two Ronnies sketch he thinks is hilarious. All this would be bad enough but then he pulls out his phone to try and show you the thing he literally just told you about.

After years I think he's finally realised I'm not worth the trouble of trying to talk to but some of the people I work with aren't that lucky.

I went into Next on my lunchbreak, not really looking for anything in particular, just to kill a bit of time before heading back to the office.

I casually glanced over at the jeans when this sales assistant came up and said “Right young man, so these here are straight leg jeans, these in this section are boot cut – that means they flare out at the bottom – and these over here are skinny jeans. What type do you usually wear? What inside leg do you normally take? About a 34? I think you should try these ones on first and see if you like them. I’ll be back in a minute to see how you’re getting on”.

Safe to say I left pretty quickly. If I want help I’ll ask for it, and I certainly don’t need someone pressuring me into trying stuff on. :lol:
