I've also done stuff like this, and had to pick something out of the bin that was supposed to go in something I'm gonna eat.

I've also put random gooseberry fool into the fridge, including cups of tea, instead of taking something out of it, like the milk. Then I can't find where I put the tea.

Probably the most annoying thing I do is pour out the wrong tea in the evening e.g. Normal tea instead of chamomile or vice versa in the mornings. The latter is expensive so I something leave it there for a whole day and just microwave it before bed. Plus I only boil enough water for one cup (as I takes 30 seconds and saves energy), so I have to top up the kettle and boil it again. All this time I'm standing there shaking my head and tutting like the old man next door. I must be going senile early.

To be honest, this is actually all real disability and memory problems stuff, thankfully I get some help now so it doesn't take me 40 minutes to make two cups of tea or eat some cereal and I can get on with my day and stop wasting my life doing basic gooseberry fool.

The other week I walked in to the front room and put the big sugar jar on my little table instead of putting my cup of tea down.

When I was about 20 I once put the kettle in the Fridge rather than the milk.

I was smoking a lot back then.

I've done stuff like this in the past. But it's never been anything more than a minor inconvenience (like I forget to grab the food I've prepared before leaving the kitchen or something).

My big offender is half making tea, for example putting the water in the cup and walking off forgetting I started doing it.

No, if I did I would put the milk in then walk away. The issue is I go to get the milk from the fridge I guess and get distracted by something and forget.

I once poured hot water into my cereal instead of into my tea cup.

I once accidentally dipped my sponge finger into the chocolate mousse instead of the pink Angel Delight.

Having to deal with the GP surgeries and getting help for a medical problem.

Ring them to make appointment, gotta get through the secretary first. This is nearly always a strawberry floating ordeal.

Get different doctor from the last one who doesn't actually pay any attention to what the last one tried, ultimately fobs you off for another week. DRINK WATER.

I hate having to go anywhere near that place.

The surgery here is even worse, 20 mins+ on hold, only to be told by reception to wait for a call, then you have to wait at least another hour before someone rings, then you have to literally beg to see someone in person after they try and fob you off over and over again. Finally, when you do get to see someone (a nurse, as they won't let anyone see an actual doc), they find it's an issue which could not be diagnosed over the phone (which had the fobbing off been successful, it would have gotten worse and worse), then write a prescription for meds which run out after just a couple of days and so the issue remains untreated, cue the cycle beginning all over again.

This actually happened to me last autumn. My mouth infection lasted months because it wasn't treated properly.

Oh and don't forget, after the prescription for meds is issued, the chemist will tell you it'll be ready in two hours, so you hike into town at stupid o'clock only to find it won't be ready for at least another few hours.

Also, because the mouth infection wasn't treated properly and so decided to stick around, when i went back for the third time, i was faced with an overly zealous nurse who decided that i needed testing for pretty much every horror diagnosis imaginable including cancer and HIV.

It's hardly surprising my mental health collapsed.

I've found it impossible to see a doctor now I spend 5 out of 7 days in a different city to where I live, so if it's a recurring or obvious problem I get treatment from online pharmacies and don't bother with an actual diagnosis/prescription. Got some antibiotics from an online pharmacy last week, there's basically no checks, just tick the right boxes. Obviously it's not good for a lot of things but for some it's handy.

My one is that so often I'll be making tea and fairly early in the process get the teaspoon out ready because I'm a well prepared tea maker. But then later when I'm grabbing the milk I'll get another teaspoon out so I'm stood there with two strawberry floating teaspoons like a fool!

Happens about 25% of the time!

And I don't even drink tea, this is just when making it for my wife! :fp:

Had one of those £1 rolo easter eggs today, and found that there was only 3 rolos in it.

THREE ROLOS!

Last year, the eggs used to have at least 5 or 6!

I'm not happy, not happy at all! :x

My doctors have been pretty good considering you can only go in to see the nurse for blood tests and not the actual doctor at the moment. I had another waterworks problem the other week and my doctor sent a prescription over straight away to the pharmacy. But I've heard nothing but horror stories from other people about their GPs throughout all of this lockdown stuff.

I'm always forgetting I've made a cuppa. Especially of late, even without distractions. Thinking about it though I haven't been too well recently so that's probably not helping.

The pizza hut app is annoying me at the moment. I went to track my order, it's gone back to the main page and there's nothing on there to track my order. I just want to know where my food is.

Well at the moment I have to waste a GPs time asking to be put on the learning disability register even though for 10+ years I've had an ICD diagnosis on my file and they should also have a copy of a private assessment done as well. For some reason I have to talk to them to do that because through that I'm eligible for a vaccine as well. That's strawberry floating pointless as easily something a nurse/secretary could do just cross referencing data.

My partners feeling crap at the moment because she's had her vaccine within a week just phoning them up and telling them she's an unpaid carer, whereas there's no other record for it besides a local council scheme.

So they can take her word for it and be part of an expensive vaccine rollout but they can't look at my own medical record...

So I have to go through the embarassment and stigma/shame crap for what feels like the 100th time saying, "yes I have a learning disability and yes this impacts my daily living" rather than just looking at the strawberry floating facts, so I can claim what I'm elegible for. An something politically along the lines of "OK so are you stupid/retarded/dumb/deaf/blind/confused/crazy/strawberry floated up enough to be added to this register? Is your disability really a disability or is it just a little bit of a disability? I.e. You do realise there is always someone worse off than you that needs to be on this register more than you, right?" Well of course I strawberry floating do.

It's the same gooseberry fool with DWP or HMRC.

"We have on file elsewhere in the government that you have a disability. But is this disability severe enough that it makes you hard to get a job? Even if the diagnosis of that disability makes this strawberry floating obvious". YES please tick here / state this out loud / fill out these forms / sign here / call this number / email such and such. Also where's this evidence we already have a copy of, who should we ring who we already have a number for, we need to update a record of some other chump declaring this for you because we're not allowed to just get that from you, or ourselves.

Again and again and again. The systematic beurocracy of claiming medical/social support for such things, or assistance schemes/discounts/social care/benefits/exemptions/inclusions is strawberry floating insane and especially difficult for my kind of disability, that affects communication.

I mean it's literally this:

We can't just look at your medical history and MD that already determined this.
We have to get another MD who has already seen you multiple times to confirm the same thing.
Then add you to a list.
Then phone us again to check the list.
Then books the thing contingent on your being on that strawberry floating list you should have been on since birth.
Then do the thing.

Partner calls them up, answers 2 questions and yup, vaccination booked. Nonsense.
