Becoming especially apparent while trying to plan a wedding. The worst has been one of my fiancé’s bridesmaids who pulled out 10 days before our wedding this weekend because “she couldn’t get the time off work”. Now, she would have been flying over from USA so I appreciate it is a lot more difficult for her but she accepted the invitation to be Bridesmaid, said she would be there and then opted not to tell us she hadn’t had leave confirmed by work because “she didn’t want to worry us and thought it would work out” :fp:

Now it hasn’t worked out, she’s taken no responsibility for it and saying it’s not her fault because work denied her request, not at all appreciating the fact that if she’d kept us in the loop we could have planned around it.

We would have been completely understanding if she’d warned us about this a few months ago, I don’t really understand why she didn’t tell us.

I understand completely - that's the work of what we affectionately call a "shitebag" in Scotland. Someone who always knew that there was a possibility of issues occurring, but couldn't work up the courage to bring you into the loop sooner and has ended up causing a larger problem by holding off and allowing the problem to snowball. I've done this myself on a much smaller scale and understand the mindset but the girl really should be taking responsibility, if not for what's gone wrong then for not giving you the opportunity to forward plan around it.

We've had similar issues in the run up to our wedding next month, but nothing even remotely on that scale. Sorry it's happened mate, and I hope everything comes off with the minimum of further setbacks. Good luck! :D

Vektor. Well...they weren't so much of a band since 2017. Seen them live just before 3/4 of the band left.

Autosport.com is a site i rarely use now, mainly because it locks you out after looking at just 3 news stories each month.

Greggs have changed the jam in their doughnuts from Raspberry to Apple & Raspberry and it's utterly ruined them.

Sainsbury’s has the best jam doughnuts (they’re currently 50p for 5) and Krispy Kreme for everything else (even though they’re a rip off).

Greggs have been letting me down recently. Stone cold sausage rolls, no cheese and tomato baguette when I really fancied one, and stale YumYums.

A fresh YumYum is a thing of beauty though.

Greggs has always been a bit gooseberry fool, only go in there at Christmas time now for the Festive Bake. :datass:

Well if you want a fast car then the Ferrari's are a solid choice, but those boys can't bake for gooseberry fool.
