Hard agree with the edit. And the use of “A ___ like no other” as well. Celtic use it all the time and it knocks my pan in.

eBay's new view calculator for listings makes no sense to me. I've got 5 people watching one of my products, but it says it has received no views. How is this helpful?!

It's been up for 48 hours, it clearly has received views, but now you don't want to tell me.

I was on the tram yesterday and there was an old guy talking to a woman about how much better certain areas of the city used to be and how much better certain areas have become with investment. So far so ordinary. Then, out of the blue "well, at least back then people knew what a woman is" followed by more transphobic gooseberry fool.

I'm annoyed on two levels. That he thought it was acceptable to spout such bullshit. I'm also annoyed with myself for not saying anything. I mean, I can push back against transphobic colleagues at work or other people I know but wasn't brave enough to do it then. I feel pretty crappy about it tbh, I'm replaying it in my head more than 24hrs later.

'Amazing' and 'endless' too, especially the latter, theres a Butlins ad for some over 18s weekend break thing that says something along the lines of "endless fun with your mates, endless dancing and endlessly singing the wrong words to your favourite anthems" , no, I'm fairly certain a weekend has an end.

I switched to rechargeable AAs for my Xbox controller a while back, and I haven't looked back since. I keep one set in the charger while the other set is in the controller, then switch them over when needed.

I use rechargable AA's with my camera, one of the sets seems to last for ages and ages.

I still hate the fact that every time a new album/song/movie/something else comes out, it is said to have been 'dropped' rather than been released.

Trying to book a train ticket to go to London next weekend. strawberry floating hell :fp:

Using the trains is always an absolute last resort, but for strawberry float's sake, it's such a mess.

Have to book in advance to get anything close to a non-rip-off fare, and even then you have to specify the exact train you're going to arrive and leave on. What if I don't know, or don't want to be restricted to a set time? Oh, I have to book a different 'anytime' fare, that completely negates the benefit of booking in advance and cost an absolute bomb. Well over £100 for an hour's journey each way :dread:

Looks like booking an off-peak travelcard might work, but are there any details as to what time I can travel from? No, of course not. I can apparently return with that ticket up until 04:29 the next day, but no information at all about when I can travel from :fp:

When I go to book it offers me a choice as to which train operator to buy a ticket from. Apparently I can buy a return ticket to London from the south east using Hull Trains? Baffling why they let you choose when there's no difference in price and no option of which train to use anyway.

Why are our trains so utterly awful? Overpriced, overcrowed, unreliable, uncomfortable, an absolute mess of a ticketing and fare system...such a strawberry floating joke.
