I've been trying for weeks to book a train down to London for the 18th of June, but they're still not on sale!

How the strawberry float can online train ticket sales be affected by "COVID-19 disruption"? What does that even mean??

Staffing issues probably, they're lacking resources

My local Post Office/WHSmith has been diabolical for staffing levels the past couple of weeks. Just the same woman running the whole thing every time I'm in there, queues practically to the door, half hour waits...atrocious. She's new too - I saw them training her up only a month ago.

Using Click and Drop makes no difference as you've still got to use the same queue.

On the rare occasion that I go to the Post Office (also in WH Smith) there's one person behind the counter and one person directing people towards the self-service machine. It's always bare minimum staffing, despite huge queues and the obvious demand. Just puts you off going there.

Steam - I've only got to look at the Steam icon on my PC and the thing starts updating, and yet despite these endless updates it's still slow, clunky, poorly designed, and full of crap. Incredible that a company like Valve can make something so bad.

All 4 - Every time I watch something around 5-15 minutes in the programme will re-start from the beginning. Absolutely infuriating.

Coming off a roundabout and the car waiting to join it is already half way on the roundabout as you're going past it, making you feel like they're going to clip the back of your car. Does my head in.

Sounds like you need to reinstall the app as thats way not normal. ITV Hub I could believe as that thing is a steaming heap but All4 has always been pretty solid

+1 on the complaint, it usually happens for me after an ad break. Infuriating and I have to walk outside and punch the wall or kick a nearby tortoise to quell the flames that burn from within.

Turns out there's just maintenance on that route in June... :shifty:

Every petrol station around here, despite making extra cash from not passing on the duty cut, not bothering to maintain their equipment. Every petrol station has at least 1 or 2 pumps just out of order, with Tesco being the worst with a full half of their pumps being out of order. This is made worse by them also being 3p/litre cheaper than the surrounding ones leading to big queues.
Then the jet wash machines also being out of order at a bunch of places except Morrisons, but even there only 1 of the 2 machines is working.

lmao, so they presumably think all VAT is reclaimable provided you buy it from some place and have a valid VAT receipt?

Or they think if they buy it on a company card they can then get the VAT reclaimed through the business, which is also illegal, because it's not for a business purpose.

Just tell them your VAT registration is GB 0000 0000 and the VAT applied is £0.

I'm voluntarily VAT registered by the way, that's a good one.

Jesus even if are VAT registered, the VAT may not be reclaimable or apply at the rate of 20%. Also not all business are VAT registered.

Also, Zero-rated VAT exists, so the VAT reclaimable could be £0. What a bunch of strawberry floating cretins.
