[Rules p.1] Things that annoy you guys. 100 percent. Not gonna lie

I shower/wash my hair every two days. Seems reasonable, but I still strawberry floating hate waking up on wash days because it means getting out of bed earlier. I strategically coordinate it with gym days, so it means I'm also extra knackered.

When my one year old has done a gooseberry fool so savage that it's all up his back and his hair and all over me and I Cannot simply take one wet wipes out at a time. Instead removing three on one go, which I can't separate as my other free hand is holding the ankles way about the dark zone on the changing mat.

The other reason why I’ve ‘trained’ my hair to be washed infrequently (aside from Color fading quickly) is the strawberry floating hassle of washing it. Well, drying and styling it. Literally an hour of my life. Can’t be doing that every day.

Oh this. strawberry floating this!

How bloody hard is it to manufacture wipes that dispense properly! When you're in the middle of a poo-mageddon scenario and the wipes strawberry float you over like this it's absolutely the worst. I feel your pain.

I will do, this clearly show I am correct with how I do things!

Yesterday he was out in the garden and he fell on the steepest part of the garden (it’s shaded and did have Astro turf down but we removed it making it flat, muddy and quite slippery) he was in pain and in shock, he thought he may have broken his foot/ankle and possibly his wrist,

we called 111 (excellent service) and they made an appearance straight away for a centre in ilkeston that had x-ray facilities, we got there (it was around 45 mins away) and within 10 mins we were seen by a nurse, he asked who I was and my partner said my partner and then it became all about that, how long you been together? Do you have children? etc and then comments like he will need plenty of rest and you could give him a massage, it all made me feel quite uncomfortable, I also didn’t really like how he was looking at us, I found it all very odd, he didn’t x-ray the foot and said it looks like it’s a bad sprain, but today it’s worse so we may book an appointment with the local GP tomorrow

Anyway it was annoying because when my partner came in from his fall he got mud everywhere and with his not being able to walk couldn’t clean it up!

I had a bad sprain of my right ankle last february. It hurt like a bitch and felt like hell. It'll take a good while for him to get better.
As for the partner thing he was probably just trying to get a conversation out of you both, I've had it before at appointments.
Why can't you tidy up for him? I don't get why he has to when he's injured.

I did clean up (I was joking) it looked like papa lazarou had been in my house, it was on the walls, door frames etc

I thought Ad was referring to the anecdote of the nurse looking at Richard and his partner in a funny way and joking that Richard could give his partner a massage etc.

I was, I hadn't picked up on the homophobia bit bit upon re reading I can see it now. I wasn't taking the piss out of that, more the wall of a situation which would normally be in all caps and end with something about brexit.

I don’t think I explained it very well, he was not being homophobic rather the opposite he was gay (I assume) and him looking at me/us in a funny way was in a creepy way,

I have been thinking it over quite a lot since it happened and I am now thinking more that he was just being nice and it’s me with the problem, firstly my partner had no issue with him (apart from if it’s a miss diagnosis) he didn’t even assume he was gay with him having three children (he told us this) I don’t know any gay people and I have never discussed personal/intimate things with anyone other than heterosexual sexual friends and family,

One thing that does genuinely upset me is my prejudices, I have no idea where they come from or why I feel like I do sometimes, I remember listening to a podcast a few years ago where Karl Pilkington was saying he wouldn’t want treatment from a gay doctor or nurse and my best friend at the time thought it was stupid and so did I but if I’m completely honest now I would feel the same, I am not a complete idiot and I know that they are medical professionals that have had training and that I should not feel like that, but I do (I have never told anyone this and I have tears in my eyes writing this) all my family and all my friends I have had have never been homophobic or said anything that could be classed as such even my parents who are in their 70’s are completely fine with it, but I feel so against it in certain situations, oddly everyone I have ever dated or “been with” have been up to that point heterosexual, my partner had a girlfriend living with him at his mothers house when we meet, I am neither proud or ashamed to be gay as I think of it as being just one of things and believe that I was just born that way, I really wish I could lose these feelings because I consider myself to be a nice person but having these points of view are not nice (I can’t explain it)

When you ring the surgery here, if you're really lucky you might get to speak to a doc on the phone (if you drag yourself to the surgery's front desk, even there they tell you to wait for a phone call), to actually see a real life doc in person is always 6 weeks.

When i was poisoned and could barely get off the bed, no one would see me, and when my sister was ill last week, no one would see her either.

I found myself in a rather annoying situation last night. I woke up at 2am feeling sick, so went into the bathroom knelt in front of the toilet, and dry heaved three times. Suddenly I realised it was going to come out the other end instead, so I moved position and sat on the toilet. The instant I did this without warning it came out both ends at the same time!! I couldn't help but vomit all over the floor.

After a lengthy cleanup I went back to bed only to repeat the process an hour later. This second time I was more prepared. I sat on the toilet but leant over into the bath. Not ideal but much easier to cleanup than the floor.

Even on the Royal Mail website now. Seriously, there's got to be a better way. And half the time it doesn't strawberry floating work! Infuriating how common this has become.

Surgeries should hold back a block of on-the-day appointments that will be available first-come first-serve from opening. There are also targets for online appointments so if you can sign up you can have better luck there as not as many people go that route.
