Costs money to employ contact centre agents in a building that has rent charges and infrastructure costs, much cheaper to just run a website and some home-based live chat operatives that work when they're needed. It's a shame, but it's just part of the world now.

Why every shite advert needs an X Factor style ‘acoustic’ soundtrack of some gooseberry fool song from the 90s. You’re not being artistic and deep, it’s literally the least effort way to rip off a song. And they all sound the same and they’re all gooseberry fool.

This was first thing in the morning at like 7:30! Are there really that many people trying to get hold of them at the crack of dawn!?

Internet was supposed to be getting switched on at our new house yesterday. We had explicit instructions from them not to plug the router in until they had said the line was active (what the strawberry float they thought was going to happen if we did I have no idea! ). Wait all day yesterday for the go ahead to plug in but receive no instructions from them. Call up this morning and was told (eventually! ) that "it's all working you just need to plug it in!"







I DIDN'T PLUG IT IN BECAUSE YOU strawberry floating TOLD ME NOT TO!!!!!!!!!

This annoys me too. In fact BMW and Lloyd's are both running ads currently with near identical sounding background tracks.

Hey you know that really popular old up beat song? Well now it's acoustic, a quarter of the tempo and you'll want to kill yourself after hearing it!

One of the worst ad soundtracks i've heard lately is the weightwatchers one which keeps going 'whoop' every few seconds.

They've really slowed down "Always on my mind" by Elvis/Pet Shop Boys. See also "Wicked Game" and "Ironic".

The Pet Shop Boys version is one of the finest tracks of the 80's.

It's fairly stripped back but that new version of Always on My Mind is hardly what I would call miserable. Gentle perhaps, or soft, would be reasonable descriptions, but its still a positive sounding song with a melody that uses note progressions which are fairly common for "uplifting" music.

Yeah you would hope that the engineer would know what they're doing and so you should be fine!

Fully expecting to go home tonight and find that it still doesn't work when I plug the router in.

It's Johnny Cash's fault for doing an acoustic version of Hurt. Blame him guys.
