Crazy lady: “no I just have so much work in my queue, I don’t know how I will ever get it done! I have 20 items in there!”
Me: “So you have a lot less than half of what I currently have?” ;)

She was moaning a few weeks ago that she had nothing to do, now she is moaning she has too much (and she really doesn’t!).

Same lady today:

Crazy lady: “If you are struggling I can take some of your cases to help you out?”
Me: “I’m fine”
Crazy lady: “Yeah but I know you have some big projects to look at?”
Me: “Thanks, but I can’t start those as I am still waiting for the data, so I am fine with what I have”
Crazy lady: “Oh right, but I know you have a lot on, if you needed help I can take some?”
Me: “No, it’s fine thanks”

Somebody has obviously realised that despite the moaning she didn’t actually have much work and is now bored she has nothing to do.

That doesn't sound that annoying. She could be asking you for help instead.

They don't properly lay their address out either, and write their postcode without a space. On occasion when I've been unfamiliar with the location I've had to google it to know where to line break.

Americans on etsy are terrible for this. They also rarely use the second part of their postcode... Which is the same as no postcode as you already know the state and town, so it's impossible to verify their address.

I once sent something that was returned to me crossatlantic because the postman thought there was no one living at the house as they didn't recognise the name  they had only just moved in. It was a letter size, just strawberry floating post it anyway, wth

My kid has a sickness bug. He was settled down in bed so I made a cup of tea. He then comes in and pukes on the floor. By the time I had cleaned him and the floor up, my tea was cold.

:x

I’m just making another cup of tea while he’s asleep. If he ruins this one then he’s going to have to move out.

More moaning about REALLY bad tech...

Heard a lot about this Skint Britain: Friends Without Benefits documentary that aired on Channel 4 last night, but can I watch it on-demand via the website? Nope. Bravia? Nope. Sky Go? Nope. Sign in to the C4 app on PS4 Pro. But the app is hopelessly bad and the video just won’t play properly (loads about 3 seconds of video at a time in silence and then stops). Restart video but of course you’ve then got to sit through the adverts every time only to reveal that it still doesn’t work.

I can see why ‘the youth’ aren’t watching as much content from the terrestrial providers any more, the on-demand offerings from the B channels is the complete gooseberry fools. These strawberry floaters are just killing themselves dead. See also the ITV Hub.

Fake edit: Doesn’t work on Xbox One X either! Arseholes.

Damn them for producing TV you were so interested in and then preventing you from watching it *shakes fist*

Honestly I did about a year worth of research for a video production company and most streaming videos are abandoned after literally 2 seconds of buffering and the average watch duration is about 4-7 minutes before the vast majority of your audience give up on even maybe being interested in it before moving on to something else just seconds away. That degree of competition is insane.

That is a fact though, it annoyed me proofreading as I do so I edited the extra "literally" out.

It's weird how you can have a strong vocab in some places but repeat the same few words, my least favourite is probably "actually" when contradicting nothing.

It’s that wasted time element that annoys me so much with technology. You have that limited window of opportunity, whether it be half hour, an hour, whatever, to actually watch or play something and some sort of fuckery keeps getting in the way. Downloads, Updates, Buffering, Crashing...and before you know it 15 minutes has passed and you’ve achieved nothing.

This is why DVDs and carts should still be things.

I'm kind of the opposite. I get super distracted by internet-connected anything. So I've got a high end tape deck with some audio books, a CD player with a headphone socket in the bedroom, and I don't use a smartphone. Less opportunities for stuff to piss me off / distract me because it doesn't actually function as designed.

Tape deck has started squealing however so you start to remember the bad things. The thing everyone forgets is the mechanical noise from old stuff - although the current consoles (new PS4 excluded which seems fine and anything Nintendo) are hella awful on the noise front.

Also, noisey eaters. strawberry floating Christ how is it possible yo make so much noise and not be aware of it? We're not talking crisps either (for wunce), this is a muffin. A strawberry floating MUFFIN and it sounds like a starved pig going at a fresh corpse.

gooseberry fool drivers who use back lanes and shortcuts. :x

People take these routes because they are trying to save some time and cut around the traffic hot spots, if you're going to dawdle your way along then you can stick to the bloody busy roads!

When you go to do your online shopping and realise product after product is not available so you just have to accept it's alphabet spaghetti and waffles fortnight...

There's definitely stock issues, because the freezers were partially empty in Lidl last weekend as well.

I was in doing my shop on Wednesday night and there was a bit more of a selection than last week, but it was nowhere near what it was a lot of months ago.

My local Lidl wasn't too bad. Took a stroll in there now.

So German Lidl have no problems, but British Sainsbury’s does?

That alone should tell us we cannot survive without the Germans.

We won Two World Wars. We can survive on grass.
