Also the realisation that I cannot handle drink anymore.

I had 3 pints. There's no way someone should be hungover with that amount of drink. But here I am :dread:

Welcome to the club! 4 pints of larger (as in the drink larger) can give me a two day hangover now :fp:

I've basically decided to go teetotal now. Anything more than just a drink or two drinks just leaves me feeling gooseberry fool and I'm finding it seems to give me odd symptoms like joint pains as well so I think my body just doesn't get on with the stuff anymore!

I've never understood why pub music has to be so loud to the point of drowning out conversation. You're a pub, not a nightclub.

I've always been a light drinker but nowdays I hardly ever have more than three pints. I usually feel pissed and then rough the next day, even on that :fp: .

It has helped that I nearly always drink ale rather than lager (larger), though. Lager doesn't sit well with me.

What the strawberry float are you people drinking to be hammered after 3 pints? Vodka?

It’s not about being hammered on the night, I’m perfectly fine after the 3 pints on the night and could happily drink more. It’s just the knowing that regardless of whether I’ve drank 2 or 12 I will feel horrible for the next few days!

Same here. I find larger to be the worst offender these days. Ale, wine, even some spirits are ok in moderation as long as I don't go overboard, but larger is a guaranteed hangover of some kind.

If I have over 7 pints of lager it's a 2 day hangover and aching legs. :dread:

I'd love to see what you people are like after a few Jaegerbombs

I've found that as long as I keep myself fit, hangovers don't bother me too much (although they still ruin at least the morning/early afternoon of the following day).

In particular, running fitness seems to provide considerable benefit.

Do you guys drink water after being on a session? I always drink loads of water and it helps immensely.

Hangover after just 3 pints sounds horrible.

When you get one thing fixed (leaking tap) and almost immediately afterwards (as in 2 strawberry floating hours) something else breaks! In this case the pull switch to my electric shower no longer lights up/works, and therefore neither does my shower.

Even checking the fuse box is a pain in the arse, as I have one of those old-school ones where you have to KILL THE WHOLE HOUSE rather than isolate each individual item, nor is anything on it even labelled.

I haven't used an electric shower for about... 6 years. Are they still around much these days?

Aren't most new houses built with them now? Mine was barely more than 5 years ago.

I still need to get my shower fixed. It died about a month into living here.

We've got an electric shower in our en-suite, it's about as powerful as someone spitting water at you, it's terrible. The pipes actually have the capacity to pump way more water through, but I'm only buying a more powerful shower unit when this current one explodes.

We're having our en suite gutted and totally refitted in a few weeks. Part of that is taking the existing power shower out and having a rain one put in, then moving a pump to the airing cupboard out by the landing. The shower at the moment is powerful enough but strawberry floating hell it's so loud. Not exactly a relaxing shower.
